Food terrible, staff rude, atmosphere you could cut with a knife. Shame we couldn't do the same with the food.

Clearly a friend of the previous review, limited intelligence having reviewed the same chip shop in Leysdown, have eaten in a bakers and a cafe inside an amusement arcade. You need to get out more.

What a Gem of a place. The Flying Dutchman is rather like the Tardis, larger on the inside. There is a lovely garden, conservatory eating area. Another large eating area opposite the carvery, and the front of the building has had a renovation this year,...More

We've visited Queenborough several times by boat and the first stop on land is always the Flying Dutchman. Great food well prepared and always delicious! Our particular favourite is the freshly caught whitebait, closely followed by the steak & ale pie.... yum!

Lovely welcome, we both decided on the carvery, with a starter, the soup, cauliflower, was exquisite, the prawn cocktail was massive, the carvery, choice of four meats, then unlimited veg, gravy was properly made,

We had lunch at the Flying Dutchman today and it was wonderful. There was a good menu with lots of choice but we went for the very reasonably priced Carvery. Perfectly cooked meat, lots of choice for vegetables and all hot - we'll definitely be...More

if it's during the week there's no need to book, but if it's the weekend then it's best to book.
