We had a family get together for my husband's 67th birthday at The White Hart. We have 9 grandchildren (ages ranging from 13yrs to 7 months) and wanted a private room, the White Hart owners went out of their way to accommodate us all, we had the function room which was perfect for 18 of us and it gave the... What a shame. Sunday lunch from a set menu and it was so bad, it was funny. Food took absolutely ages to arrive. We waited the best part of an hour between courses! Roast beef was two large thick slices but appeared to have been put in the plate and then left somewhere to keep warm? The surface of the... More

A local busy pub which is a bit dated an run down but the food was excellent. A choice of 4 meats for the sunday roast came with roast potatoes and 2 Yorkshire puddings. The vegetables came separately and consisted of carrots broccoli cabbage cauliflower cheese and mash potatoes. Lots of gravy and all piping hot. Great service and all... More

After a great explore of the Forest with our dog we called in at the White Hart Inn. We were hoping of course for a bite to eat & a beer. We got instead a thoroughly warm friendly welcome from local customers & excellent professional service from several very young totally efficient female staff. The cider & beer was perfect... More

We arrived with a group of 20, including several children, for lunch after a walk in the forest. They had set up a lovely space for us to eat and the food was really good. The younger children enjoyed escaping outside to the play area.

Booked in advance for a group of nineteen. Loads of different orders including from the children's menu. Food arrived at the same time, was hot, good value and the service was excellent. Good sized portions as well. Lovely little outside play area for the under tens.

So I decided to take my family and my sisters new boyfriend here for a Sunday roast and I must say I had nothing but compliments. The fact they loved that the pub had changed so much since last being there and the food changing massively. I currently work at the pub and is still an amazing place. As my... More

We enjoyed an excellent lunch, big choice, 2 courses for £6. The restaurant area was spotlessly clean. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed.

We stopped off at the white hart inn after a long walk In the forest of Dean. It was excellent. The staff were very friendly. We opted for the two course Sunday lunch. It was faultless. There were loads of veg and it was all hot and very tasty. The chocolate brownie with ice cream was yummy and the crumble... More
