We thought that an early drink prior to dinner would be a good idea. We had an Italian merlot which was fine. We asked for refills and the owner used the half bottle remaining from a previous customer! Not a good idea. We paid up and left.

Tgliere: a cold cuts dish can be assembled with industrial and cheap products and you'll be able to tell the difference only after trying Stefania and Vittorio's in their little enoteca. Now they have also some of my favorite Tuscan food, pasta e ceci (chickpeas and pasta) and panzanella (a salad made of bread and a bunch of different vegetables).... More

We had a selection of AMAZING local specialties (mainly, cold cuts and cheese), with honey and jam pairings. We had a few seconds, a couple of glasses and a great coffee, all for 20 euros. If you are open to trying new things, this is the place --- you don't have any saying in what food you get. :-)

We were rapidly becoming depressed in this wonderful part of Italy because of the very poor food and accommodation we had been booked into by our tour company. Then we were saved by finding this heavenly Enotecha. Talk about an oasis in a culinary desert (not dessert)- this was truly wonderful. It is places such as this that linger on... More

We had the pleasure of being in Sovana for a couple of weeks last year whilst working on a movie. This tiny restaurant is the absolute gem of the area. In a relatively 'good-restaurant-barren' area of Italy (surprising I know, but true) this tiny entice was like an oasis! The owners are a absolutely delightful couple both of who are... More

A wonderful place to sample some wines of the region. The selection of cold cuts is incredible. A special mention should be made of the chinghiale mortadella. Outstanding.

A lovely, quiet yet fine spot for lunch. (And presumably dinner). Beautiful, low key, excellent service. Organic cheese, wine and various cold meats. Owners take lots of pride in their work and are gracious in sharing.

If you are looking for a restaurant with a choice of menu, first and second courses, etc., this is not for you. You must accept the proposals of the operator (only cold dishes, ie cured meats and cheeses), and then the pleasure is assured. Everything is highest quality. The value for money is also good (do not agree with the... More

This place has a warm and authentic atmospheres with extremely friendly and knowledgable English speaking owners. I've brought several friends on different trips and they all enjoy it. Very good value.

My friend and I came across Sovana because of a suggestion by the owners of the hotel we were staying in. We walked into the town, which is so beautiful, small and magical. Upon stumbling across this enoteca, I wasn't so sure about entering but we did and I am SO GLAD that we did! The man who was inside... More
