A grill house on a hip waterfront on a Greek island, sporting a trendy name in English only? You may expect a tourist trap. To the contrary, the place is delightful and authentic. The location couldn't be beaten (and it's useful if your boat is moored just in front), the food was great and so was the service.
The Pahonia of Lithuania gracing the building is a reminder of how much can be gained from cultural diversity and exchange. (But the food is purely Greek, and extremely tasty.)

I was in Symi today and stopped by at this lovely place. I decided to take the famous Symi Shrimps and they were great. Fast, reasonable price (if you are really hungry Order some Starters on top) Make sure to walk approx. 5 minutes around the harbour to get to this lovely gem.

Meet the Meat is delicious! The taverna is unassuming and knows what it does well. Ate here 3 times for dinner during our stay and didn't have a bad meal - the best grilled octopus and gemista we ate in Symi. Jordana especially made us feel so welcome and waved at us each time we walked past - fantastic friendly host while not being pushy like some others in the harbour. Can't recommend enough! If you're in Symi you must try this place, food and drink are delicious and gyros as cheap as 3 euros so perfect for lunch or dinner

Woman serving was disorganised and seemed too busy to pay attention to our order. We ordered t bone steak and it was over cooked. Chips were raw and crunchy in the middle. Also ordered half chicken... but waitress came out with a plain salad. When we pointed out the mistake she then appeared with a chicken soulvaki, two minutes later she realised it was again incorrect. No apologies just took it away and then third time produced a dry cold chicken with limp salad (more white cabbage than anything else) again chips were raw.
We then also had to ask for cutlery because she had forgotten to give us some.
Really poor and disappointing service and food!!
Thing is they weren’t even over run with customers as Covid has really hit the tourist industry there.
Seemed like a place that just wanted money and didn’t care if customers are happy.

We came to eat here during a boat trip to Symi Island and was blown away by the food, drinks and often most importantly the service.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, the cost definitely reflects the age old value for money and not to mention the beautiful view of the harbour.
The food was really yummy, I went for the Symi shrimp and my partner had a half chicken. Both delicious!
Our server was fantastic, friendly and interesting as well as catering for anything we asked without any doubt.

Stolling around the harbour we were invited in by Jordana, a lovely lady of lithuanian origins. We ate and drank in a wonderful environment and were amazed how Jordana looked after an ever increasing clientelle with a smile and apparent consumate ease. We highly reccomend this haven !! ACIEU!!

This place is one of the few on the Island, that obviously cares about getting repeat customers. You are made to feel welcome! The service is excellent - The hosts speak English, and the hostess also speaks russian. It is also a good place for small children.
The food is the traditional Greek cuisine, with an emphasis on grilled meat and fish. The seafood is excellent and I can recommend the Symi shrimp.
For a quick lunch the various pitas are excellent - I strongly recommend choosing the Cypress variety of pita.
Also a good place for a cold beer in the shade, watching the ships and people.

Great place, good food, good service, knowledable service staff. Many options and they can adjust for allergies, which is a plus for us. Tempered red wine, not freezing as most places. We ordered shared meat platter for 2 and there was more than enough food, they also asked how we'd like the meat prepared, and hit the mark, the meat melted in the mouth

We were looking to visit this place for a long time and when we finally did , it did not disappoint us ,WE LOVED IT. The staff was extremly helpful and polite,the restaurant itself looked clean and well decorated. The food was DELICIOUS. We ordered fries with cheese as appetizer and for the main dish we had lamb chops,beef burger, and three color salad. The food was fresh and very well cooked. We definitely give this place 10/10! 👍🏻

We enjoyed our meal there. Everything looks clean and new. Dont know if this is a new restaurant, newly renovated or maybe change of owners? The grilled vegetables are tasty and the salad is very fresh. Price is fair. Location is fantastic. Service is a little slow. I guess is summer time. Will go back there again and try another dishes.

A lovely waterfront restaurant with amazing, friendly staff. The menu will cover everyone’s taste and is great value. Food freshly cooked to order and is always enjoyable . We will be back next year as always.

Informal and characteristic. The quality of the fish is good, cooked in a simple but effective way. We ate both fried and roasted fish and paid the right price, without considering the truly beautiful location!

It is the only one grill house at symi island. The gyros is just DELICIOUS. They have many vegetables of selection to add for gyros which is big plus, because most of places do not have this option. Meet which we eat was fresh and good cooked. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. Fast service and good prices. Definitely we will come back to eat there❤️❤️❤️

Incredible food and service. And fans!
We had Symi shrimp which was sweet and crispy and they explained how they just cook it with olive oil, and brought out a raw shrimp for us to see. Delicious Greek salad and ice cold beer. Nothing to say but “eat here!”. Great recommendation from a local as well.

I went here due to the high rating on T.A.
In hindsight it is probably rated so well as it is right on the front where the hoards of hungry daytrippers pass.
I was also tempted by the half or full chicken on the menu as I'd not seen this in any other Symi restaurant.
So I ordered dolmades to start which were ok.
Then the half chicken arrived, thrown on the plate like some unwanted leftovers for the stray cats loitering.
I knew instantly it was pre cooked and reheated. It was hard, dry and lukewarm. I was disgusted at having been served such rubbish in what is a very classy little Island. I paid for the starter and left.
Do yourself a favour in Symi and go somewhere away from the main harbour front where there is nobody trying to lure you in.
I really can't recommend Meet the Meat in any way.

Chicken is cooked on a souvla . When you order we cut chicken in a 4 peaces (it's easier to eat ,then I give all half chicken) , and then we put on a charcoal for a bit . Breast is always more dryer then the rest of the peaces. Every restaurant in Symi ,or in Greece there is a person in front of the restaurant. Sorry that our chicken didn't make to your standards. Have a nice day
