We visited this restaurant while we were vacationing in Mazamitla. I just simple can not say anything bad about this place. Everything was perfect. The food is super amazing. Their fajitas are the best that I have had in years. Their sangria made out of blueberries are to die for. Super delicious drink. Too bad I can`t remember the name... More

We recently had dinner with business associates at La Troje Restaurante in Mazamitla, Jalisco on a late Monday afternoon. The restaurant decor is beautiful, very rustic and there is plenty of seating. There were not many people in the restaurant at the time we arrived. We decided to have dinner on the patio, there were four in our party. Our... More

Nice atmosphere and helpful staff. I used the wrong word for 'scrambled' eggs and got fried eggs. Explained my mistake and they replaced the plate without hesitation. Enjoyed eggs, omelette, hot cakes and would recommend La Troje.

Restaurante La Troje is just outside of the Historic Center. It is a well established nicely built restaurant with attentive wait staff. Like most mexican restaurants it does not have hot water in the restroom sinks, not many wait staff speak english, but the food is a good variety. The hotel does not provide heaters for their rooms at any... More

Our second time visiting this lovely village in the mountains. There were 7 of us dining here for lunch yesterday and only one person enjoyed their meal. I ordered salmon as I had read the reviews and was eager to try it out. It was so dry I couldn't get my fork in it. I sent it back and it... More

I ate there just twice, two days running. The first day, by pure luck, I ordered a salmon dish. It was a religious experience, best salmon of my life. There are two forms of salmon on the menu. One is called Mediterranean, which is what I ordered. I do not recall the name of the other option. If I live... More

We sat outside on the veranda. We ate lunch on a Monday afternoon. We saw the only other English speakers eating lunch at the same time. We each chilaquiles. Mine were chicken and hubby's was with scrambled eggs. They were good but a wee bit spicy. The salsa was good but the chips were fresh but greasy. The malinche was... More

La Troje restaurant is part of a hotel with the same name in the main road accessing the town of Mazamitla. The restaurant has an independent entrance and is a very popular place for breakfast and lunch both with locals and tourists. The restaurant is fairly large with antique decor and photographs. For what I saw in their Internet advertising... More

We arrived in town hours before our check-in time, so we strolled around town and then followed reviewers' advice to eat at La Troje. We add our own recommendation to those of others. The food and service were excellent.
