The best greek in Altea

This restaurant is as close as you get to perfection. The greek Food is amazing here and you will definitly love The Staff as they are giving 110% to give you the authentic greek experience. The food is very colourfull and delicious looking with the natural flavours of the mediteranean. Make sure you visit this place as it is one of the best restaurant in Altea without question. Enjoy.

Tried here for the first time last week , liked it ,and booked for 11 of us celebrating a birthday last night . I had exactly the same “mixed grill” including a lamb chop ,wedge of mousaka, chicken skewer, tzatziki and Greek pasta ,and on both occasions, everything was nicely cooked, hot, lots of it,preceded by “on the house” cabbage salad……and served by happy obliging staff, Praise too for the mousaka and stuffed mushrooms. We sat outside amid pretty fairy lights ,a sea view and soft Greek background music. Overall a very good evening ,enjoyed by all and would recommend.

There is nothing bad to say. Simply spectacular. We ordered 5 dishes (2 starters and 3 mains) and each one better than the last. In addition, the restaurant staff are very attentive and always with a smile. One of the best restaurants in Altea, without a doubt.

Despite reservation as every year we did not have a suitable table for 6 people. A table of four was quickly expanded by 2 sets .It was more than tight and uncomfortable. After the order and the food distribution, the sixth person was missing the food in the form of lamb chops. Only on complaint was the missing food served after minutes. Where to start? The restaurant is dirty, we sat outside but when I went to the bathroom I noticed the conditions of the room inside: near the counter there is the parking of the bikes, floor full of treads and dirt, you could see the kitchen not bad even her. Decent Moussaka, decent meat but the giros dish totally missing everything that should be there including vegetables (half a slice of tomato, a salad leaf and a chili can not be considered such). So disappointing after reading the good reviews. Totally unwelcoming, poor service, zero ambience and over priced food. Starters were ok but the pork gyros meat should not have been served it was thick, cold and chewy with the texture of plastic. We tried several times to get more drinks but servers were just not on it. They did take the gyros main courses off the bill but really just not a nice dining experience in every way. Sadly we will not be back.

Huge letdown…not authentic Greek

Unfortunately a complete let down. Food was microwaved and non of the ingredients were fresh. There was not a single lamb dish on the menu. It felt like a tourist trap. The service was good and friendly, but the food was horrible.

Good Greek food at a fair price

We had as an appetizer Taramar for two people and afterwards a Hercules plate with gyros and a large minced steak (Bifteki). Everything was very neat and lovingly prepared. The prices were reasonable and also the service was friendly. We would visit the place again anytime.

Superb food and big portions.

I have been to Greece and am a big fan of Greek food. This place would be considered excellent even in Greece. Everything was so fresh and full of flavour, they clearly use good quality produce. We had the stuffed mushrooms and the gyro meat with chips and it was enough for the two of us which is a shame because I wanted to sample more. The staff are very good too, friendly and attentive. We are in Altea for another three nights and we will definitely go back here. If you like Greek food or just good food in general then you will love this place.

Staying up the road at the Neilson resort, Sirtaki was the first restaurant we came across on our visit. It was so good that we ate there on the next free evening, and wish we'd gone for a 3rd visit (trying another and being disappointed in comparison). As a party of 8 we ordered extensively from the menu and every single dish was delicious, with particular mention to the gyros and the homemade baklava. The staff are friendly, welcoming and charming and could not have been nicer to us, a real credit. Cannot recommend Sirtaki enough.

Overall, a really nice meal. The spanakopita was obviously home made and delicious. Tzatziki beautifully flavoured with dill. Moussaka really tasty! Souvlaki well cooked without being burnt (which is an art in itself!) If I had one ever so slight criticism, I’d have preferred homemade chips or even boiled potatoes, to what were obviously frozen chips. That said, it was a lovely place with friendly and attentive staff and we’d go again.

Visited in March 24 for a birthday lunch. Service was excellent and the stifado was the best we've tasted outside of Greece. Very generous portions and reasonable prices. Really felt like we were in Greece.

A very nice place and with a very fresh meal with abundant portions. Very good Greek cuisine and very professional staff. Menu of the day and menu. Very clean toilet. Average prices, great for quality of food. We tried the Greek barbecue for two which includes Portfront.
