Located in the old town this restuarant is very well Located and from the Terrace you get amazing views. Both my wife and I are vegetarians and we thoroughly loved our food. The choice of food for Vegetarians is amazing. The level of service is...very good.More

We found this restaurant on TA before we went on holiday and decided to try it - so glad we did. We booked online just 2 hrs before our visit and on arrival were astonished by the number of steps we had to negotiate (so...not suitable for the less mobile). It was well worth the climb though as we emerged onto a roof terrace with stunning views and a welcome breeze. The service and food were excellent and the bill came to less than it would in the UK.More

This was such a disappointment after the great reviews. The food was bland and nothing special at all the staff looked tired and really couldn’t be bothered apart from one nice young guy who made an effort. The others seemed agitated that there were clients....Wouldn’t go back. The curry place in Calpe is aooo much better. The decor was nice though. And although we were inside the terrace is supposed to be nice. We weren’t given the option to sit there maybe it’s too far up there each time for the staff.More

A very popular Indian restaurant so be sure to book in advance. The interior decor is stylish but if you can get a table on the rooftop terrace the views are spectacular. The menu provides set options or a la carte. The set menus are...very good value. Standard and delicious Indian food but not exceptional. Very efficient and friendly staff. A good holiday restaurant when your taste buds fancy something different to paella!More

After looking at the fantastic photos on the website we expected a first class experience. First complaint was we were not informed when we booked that if you eat on the upper view terrace you pay a supplement!! The food did not live up to...other good Indian restaurants in the area. The staff were attentive but on dropping some naan on the floor of another tables order they didn’t seem to mention it to that customer. Nor did they immediately throw it into a bin. It was placed into an empty bread basket, for what, the next customer? The toilets didn’t have that lovely clean smell either. On departure down 4-5 flights of stairs the handrail was sticky and in fact filthy. A staff member waiting to say goodbye said ‘is the handrail sticky, oh I must speak to our cleaner tomorrow!!! ‘ Shouldn’t they have immediately cleaned it themselves before the rest of the customers touched it! Table cleaning was a half hearted spray of the table top only with no attention to the chairs. We believe this restaurant used to have a good reputation but now it needs a good scrub and makeover before infecting the local community or innocent holiday makers.More

We cannot praise The Crown of India enough.  It is the best Indian restaurant we have had the pleasure to visit in many years, in any country.  Sunil and his team offer exceptional service from booking to final departure.  We booked for Christmas Day; staying at...a holiday rental, we were concerned about how to get to the restaurant, given its location in the old town. Sunil sorted out a taxi for us, which involved him in multiple calls and WhatsApp messages to sort out.  As soon as we got to the restaurant,  we knew we were in for a good time.  The building and the decor alone are superb, the choice and volume of background music perfect.  The service from all the staff is attentive, impeccable and friendly, with a sense of humour.  The food was all very tasty and perfectly balanced in flavour and spice, and the wine recommendation suited the food ideally.  We finished with an unbelievable orange and curry ice cream and tea, and finally a generous liqueur on the house. If we could give these guys 6 stars, we would.  We will most definitely visit again when in the area.More

Hi Annie These are questions for the restaurant to answer but I’m sure they will accommodate well behaved toddlers however there are a lot of steep stairs to watch out for.

Sorry to say we are not sure but really with the stairs and tightly packed tables it wouldn’t be suitable.
