Once this horrible Covid passes and we can travel freely again, get yourself to Gortahork in Donegal, the restaurant in ostan loch Altan is def worth a visit , the manager Orla O Grady and her staff are a credit to the hospitality industry ,...as for the dining experience ,l couldnt recommend enough that you try for staters their breaded garlic mushrooms (which are a meal on their own)folowed by their locally sourced haddock in batter with their homemade chips , , perfect ,l for one will be making tracks for Ostan Loch Altan asap , MartyMore

We ate in restaurant both nights of our stay. Had the steak special on Friday night and had a two course meal on Saturday night. Food was great both nights but the apple crumble was delicious definitely give it a try. Also the strawberry daiquiris...were best I have had. Staff really helpful 🥰More

It was all horrible. Took 40 minutes to get a drink, the appetizers came before the drinks. Food was terrible. Service terrible.

Booked a weekend at this hotel and was very surprised. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and chatty. The room was spotless and comfortable. We did have a slight problem with the heat, which was sorted within 5 minutes of mentioning it to staff....Food was gorgeous and plentiful. Prices very reasonable. Would definitely recommend for a couples getaway.More

Had a family meal. Brilliant menu with lots of choice. Excellent value for money in comfortable surroundings. The chowder was excellent. Will definitely return. Staff are friendly and efficient too.

I had cheesy mushrooms to start, which were really good, but the chips with the man need to be cooked properly. They were greasy and hard in the middle. Chips are easy to cook if you use the right spuds, Maris Piper, Queens or even...Cyprus but this Chef obviously doesn’t know this. The mains were ok as were the deserts but come on a Chef who can’t make chips ?More

Arrived hungry and went to eat. Bar area is very dated. My husband had a pizza and coleslaw which cost £15.30. The pizza base was like one you’d buy in the supermarket and top yourself. My hake didn’t smell great and the potatoes were not...roasted, as per the menu, but microwaved boiled potatoes in a pool of water. The sauce looked as if it was out of a jar and was tasteless! The carrots and cabbage were over cooked and soggy! No-one came to ask if our food was okay until after my hubby had finished his pizza. I was at the bar paying and explained that I hadn’t eaten my meal as I want happy with the food. The barman asked me what was wrong with it then said “we don’t normally get complaints.”More

The hotel is a bit dated the rooms are very small no space to walk round the bed. The hotel food was basic and not very warm. The staff not very helpful. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.
