Spectacular New Year’s Eve! The 15 minute fireworks put on by the hosts were incredible & the two piece band that entertained us exceptional. This restaurant with accommodation (if needed) is fantastic. We had an amazing experience celebrating New Year’s Eve. Although access is only by boat or sea plane/helicopter it is definitely worth a visit. If you can stay at least one night in one of the loft bungalows you’ll get to enjoy the serene morning beauty of Sunny Corner on the Hawkesbury River along with an amazing breakfast. The quality of the local produce food served is of the highest order. All the food we ate was a culinary delight. The service by all the staff is nothing short of 5 star. Hosts Tanya & Geoff were extremely friendly & accommodating of every need. Peats Bite has just been totally rebuilt from the ground up & is now an ultra modern chic venue with the same relaxing vibe it’s had for over 40 years. A truly family oriented venue. Definitely a bucket list experience that should not be missed. Tips- *they are dog friendly *bring your swimmers to relax & enjoy the lovely pool by the waters edge *they will arrange your boat transfers

We visited as a group of four. I had never heard of Peats Bite until I received the invitation for my birthday. I gather you need to book months ahead to get a booking. We travelled by boat and moored at their jetty. Many arrived by seaplane as no road access is available. Water taxi and pre-booked launch is available from Brooklyn. The welcome cocktail was later ordered in a larger serving at the table. The ladies loved it. After being seated in a lovely covered ‘verandah’ style setting we were briefed on a ‘set’ menu (and price) ‘long lunch’, service with each course and the approximate wait time between courses explained. You can not be in a hurry here as the entire lunch is served over about about 3 - 4 hours. Drinks and the starter arrived and the afternoon relaxation begun. Under COVID only alternate tables were occupied. Dress code was very casual and comfortable with ample opportunity to sit outside on the lawn in the sunshine between courses (30+ minutes) It IS a LONG lunch. You were able to use the pool as well. The food service was presented as a group serving where you helped yourself.I gather the menu changes frequently and the variety would suit most diners. Each serving is ample for a five course meal. Advise any Dietary restrictions at booking. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. Each course was perfect for the style of casual lunch expected. By the time coffee and cheese was served you had settled in a longe or outside where this was served to you in your location. Very relaxed. My only problem was noise, as in a lot of places. It is noisy under a low roof and the amplified music (guitar) a bit too loud. A group of six would find it difficult for all to hear the conversation. It would be fine for a party with a lot of outside mingling but not seated etc. I deducted one star for this. An excellent venue for a casual and unhurried afternoon long lunch.

With family and business colleagues I was a regular patron of the old Peats BIte for almost 40 years before it was destroyed by fire in 2021 and was keen to revisit the new look restaurant as soon as possible after it reopened on the October long weekend. I was most definitely not disappointed. The new layout has a vibe all of its own and the food (which was always consistently good) has moved up a notch to rival the best dining experiences in the country. Staff were knowledgable about every dish and were both enthusiastic and entertaining. Add to this the fact that waterfront staff were on hand to assist with safe mooring of the visiting vessels and I could find nothing to fault. My recommendation? If you can possibly manage it, make sure you go there and experience this unique venue!

I was so excited for this place, OMG it was so derelict/run down with weeds everywhere, broken tables, no table cloths only exposed cheap Baltic Pine bench tables; we were also stuff in between other vacant tables that we couldn't even move our chairs easily, expensive basic wine, pour your own wine( not a big deal but for fine dining) no iced coolers, no bread rolls, no nibbles. We were made to sit for 4 hours with only 3 tables full and it was meant to be a degustation lunch but it ended up share plates only entrée, main and desert and 1 cheese type on a platter all for $435 per couple so disappointing, bathrooms are dirty/really basic and no flush button on toilet only a exposed spring, grass was knee high in areas and umbrellas were ripped and moldy. This is not an experience for the money I had such high hopes. Im sorry to write this but considering it took us over 2 hours by boat in bad weather and then got a very stock standard experience for a top end price. Also having a dogs head in your lap whilst eating is also very inappropriate and I love animals but very unhygienic as people where patting including staff then serve and touch food. Again Im sorry about this review but it was very disappointing and I hope this place spends some of the money and clean up the property .

Dear Most dissatisfied client of 2021, Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of fateful trip, that started from a tropic port aboard this tiny ship, The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed, if not for the courage of the fearless crew the Minnow would be LOST ?? The ship set aground on the shore of this UNCHARTED desert isle, with Gilligan, the skipper too, a millionaire and his wife, a movie star , the professor and Maryanne here on Gilligan's isle. No phone , no lights no motor car NOT a single luxury, like Robinson Crusoe, its primitive as can BE , THANKFULLY , we concluded you must have visited Peats BIte by mistake. We have NEVER proclaimed to be fine dining with table linen and silver service. we think you may have us confused with another venue. PLEASE tell all your friends, it would be disappointing for seats to be taken up by your like minded friends who don't appreciate what we have to offer. Warm regards, Mr Finnegan and his fearless crew.

This was a great afternoon dining with a party of four we had an outstanding afternoon with delicious food, excellent service and a lovely outlook on the Pittwater. The restaurant was very rustic and open air with a delicious and generous set menu exquisitely timed to enjoy the whole afternoon. We tied up the boat we came in there at the restaurant and in the morning the free and friendly coffee service was very much appreciated. Highly recommended!

I spent an afternoon Bite for a friends birthday. We had a group of about 15 people and every one of them said it was one of the best dining experiences they have ever had. e chose to go with the seven course dining package. By the first time we stepped off the boat it was amazing, we were given a delicious complimentary cocktail. The food was AMAZING!! every dish was spectacular. One of the dishes i couldn't eat because it contained red meat which i don't eat and they substituted it with Moreton Bay bug- Absolutely delicious!!!! The singing and entertainment was so great and the whole venue was amazingly beautiful. Cannot wait to go again!

Long and lazy Sunday lunch with a group of 8 friends. It was all super easy with the restaurant booking the ferry for us from Brooklyn. Super refreshing welcoming drink on arrival followed by 5 amazing and fresh meals with time in between to explore the amazing surroundings of the open air restaurant right by the majestic Hawkersbury River. We had a wonderful time and had great service and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Live music topped it off! There is also an opportunity to have a swim in the pool by the river, which we were not aware of, but will definitely do next time!

Yesterday, my family and 4 of our closest friends celebrated my husband and my 60th birthday at Peats Bite. We had dined here 12 years ago, loved it and always wanted to return for a special occasion. What can I say, we had the best day. From the time I booked to the day we arrived, Tanya was fabulous and more than accommodating with some changes on the menu for my husband. It rained a little on the way there but when we got off the boat the rain stopped and the weather fined up. The 7 course degustation was very well presented and just delicious. Tammy, the host sang some songs, came past to each table and chatted. There was live music and just a great vibe in the air. There were quite of few celebratory birthdays and it just added to the atmosphere. Ash, our waitress was excellent. This is not a destination to go to if you want a quick lunch. It's a place you go to for an entire experience. The staff reflect the ambience and are passionate about giving the best Experience possible for their guests. What a perfect way to spend the afternoon just relaxing, eating, drinking and looking out on the river, with Spectacular views and great company. Thank you Tanya and your wonderful team for making our birthdays one to always remember. We will most definitely be back!

Was here with friends for Sunday lunch. Food and drinks magnificent but the star of the show was the impromptu performance by the Patsy Cine tribute act who was dining there on the same day. We will be back, hopefully when Elvis Presley has booked a table. Thank you everyone. Great day out.

There were 8 of us and took a water taxi from Sentry Rock to Peats. Live music was awesome by Van. We were served by Helen, Amifer and Ben, they were an great team. Their hospitality in welcoming us was very genuine. We enjoyed 7 courses of food, with crab&shrimp tart, scallop ceviche, and the best jalapeño popper ever!! Next up chicken roll with salsa verde and a bit of chimichurri. Next was outstanding ocean trout and filet of steak with excellent selections of mushrooms. Finished with peach, meringue, pudding dessert. Great margaritas, lychee martinis and a few bottles of Shiraz with great friends - mi familia segunda

We recently had a weekend at Peats Bite. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we couldn't fault it. The atmosphere, live music, food, cocktails and scenery were amazing. The owners and staff were very friendly and the service was excellent even though it was 40+ temperatures. We will definately be back!

Hubby and I stayed and dined here mid week. We were spoiled with heaps of absolutely delicious food, excellent service and most picturesque view. We loved every moment of our relaxing getaway and the family who run Peats Bite are such lovely people and ensure the rooms are immaculately clean. This was our second visit here and I can’t wait to go back.
