We visited twice, once for cappuccino and also had a very light breakfast of fruit salad with honey. Sometimes in the evening they will have singers or performers on site. There is plenty of of seating. Be prepared for wandering vendors selling hammocks, cigars, fans and sundry other items as they wander through the patio

Went for lunch as a part of the flamingo tour from Merida. Had ceviche with home made tortilla chips. Fried fish was some of the best ever, came with very flavorful rice and small salad. Topped off with ice cold Sol. Couldn't have been better.

More a canteen than a restaurant. We ordered sea soup and the shrimp was tough like ox tail. Fish fillet was overwhelmed by garlic. B plus for food. Diet Coke was not expired so they get points for that.

This restaurant is simple but comfortable. One can be seated inside with air conditioner or outside. We went for a quick breakfast and it was very good. Great huevos mutuleños, hot cakes, huevos rancheros and huevos mexicanos. The only suggestion is to add tea and fresh juice to the menu. It will be complete with those.

I took my family here for dinner because the outside looked very nice and upscale. Do not be fooled. The food was terrible. My husband and I had meat dishes that we called "beef jerky" because it was so tough. One daughter got pizza which looked like it was made on top of ready made crust. The service was slow.... More

We had lunch twice at this place. We really like the setting/design of this place: cool and relax. I am sure it is a hot spot at night. The food was good. The service was probably the low point: very slow, and not very inviting, which is a pity considering the potential of the place and the fact there were... More

On a November Friday night we tried to have dinner in Celestun. Our guest said to try Casa Peon or El Lobo pizza. El Lobo was closed at six, Casa Peon was open but offering only greasy Chicharonnes. We found some Chips in an Abarote shop.

Funky interior and pleasant staff. The food is fair. Standard fish, but more savory preparation can be found at restaurants on the beach. Ok when nothing else is open.

This is the #1 rated restaurant in Celestun - it is not even the #10 of the 10 restaurants. I gather it was good when the new owners took over a couple of years ago but not now. They have lost interest. The food is terrible, the service non existent and the location is mosquito infested. Do not go.

I just spend 3 nights in lovely Celestun, and there is no better place to stay overnight then Casa Peon :-) Comfortable bed, spacious room, lovely breakfast...They made me some really good veggie meals (not on the menu, but you can ask them). Great place to hang out as well, with the bar, terrace in- and outside...beautifull wall paintings make... More
