Very nice option for getting a sneak peak of the traditional italian gastronomy away from the crowded turistic zones. Good price and excellent atention. Only problema the accesibility and the fact of opening only on weekends.

We enjoyed this place very much. The food was very tasty and well served. The waiters were also very kind. As starter I had goat cheese with fruit, followed by pizzoccheri that were cooked according to a variation of the classic recipe with pumpkin and sausage. As dessert the revisited tiramisu' is worth trying. Everything was good and portions were... More

We found this restaurant near the lighttower of Brunate and were really happy to discover how nice it is! We had the best antipasti with meat and cheese, generously and beautifully arranged on a big plate. Service is really good. Best of all is certainly the Polenta! I've never eaten something like this! Worth more than one try... :-)

Our family of 6 stopped there for lunch, after an arduous hike. The restaurant looked old fashion, clean and simple. The no frills type! The waitress was very helpful translating the menu in French and English. We each ordered different plates and each was happy with the food served. The Argentinian beef was cooked as asked. The different polentas were... More

Giuseppe and his family served my family a marvelous dinner in a beautiful setting in the mountains above Como. The Polenta Uncia, Wild Boar with Apples, Partuffe, and Salamella were among our favorites. After taking the funicular to Brunate, it is well worth the hike to the Faro Lighthouse, both for the spectacular view and especially for the magnificent meal... More

If you are in this area it´s a must for you to try some particular regional dish and this restaurant is very good at it. Of course, polenta is the main attraction, as there are so many choices how you could have it - different types, with different additional ingredients (ragu, onion, bacon etc.). However you could try also other... More

Polenta but plenty of other choices as well. Lamb was delicious, as well as the steak. Great pasta. Service was nice and friendly. We didn't have a reservation but we managed to get one table. It seemed to be quite full during the evening. All tables with chatting groups. So popular place with good food. We liked it and recommendations.... More

Its a climb to get to the restaurant but it is worth it. I reccommend combing it with a trip to the lighthouse nearby and/or a walk up the mountains. Food was great and the staff very friendly. They have an english menu ( for those interested) and can also speak english quite well for italian standards.;

Well, you can't go to this place and don't eat polenta. It's so tasty, seems to be homemade. Antipasto, i recommend. Also, order a good wine with your polenta. it makes the difference, after lunch, go for a walk, enjoy the view.
