Stayed two nights in the hotel and ate at the restaurant. The whole place is an incredible and peaceful experience. The restaurant is a mix a local culture and first class service.

We had dinner as we were touring. The food was the best in our travels. Service was excellent and the venue was great. Gentle background played. It was so authentic
My wife and I had lunch here after arriving at the Comarca hotel. We also came into the restaurant in the evening and shared a bottle of champagne. Lunch was fine. Nothing spectacular. I had the llama steak, and it was fresh and cooked correctly....It was fine. My wife had a salad. It was fine. The service, however, was not fine. The lunch waiter was a really nice guy, but clearly overworked. He was the only waiter on staff, and he was literally running from table to table, trying to get to everyone. The restaurant needs to hire at least one more waiter. They're obviously trying to save money by having only one server but in the end they're creating a poor dining environment. In the evening, when we returned, the waiters were tetchy and unhelpful. They acted as if they were annoyed to see us and that they were doing us a favor by serving us. After our waiter brought the bottle of champagne to the table, we never saw him again. He never returned to fill our glasses or ask us if we'd like anything else or inquire into whether we were doing OK. So, all in all, I'd give the restaurant a 3 for food and a 1 for service, which equals out to a 2.More
Very bad service to start with, and the ambience in nothing close to attractive or cosy. Rude and in-a-hurry servers. Food ranges from OK to bad. The Comarca Fettucini were alright, but the lamb was really really bad. Even dishes come out without a proper...presentation, just food thrown in a plate. Wine prices are about 30% more expensive than in any other good restaurant in Jujuy or even Salta. Glass by the glass for example was $150 (for standard malbec) vs. $90 that we paid yesterday in Tilcara's best restaurant. Absolutely disappointing. The hotel is really nice though, but go eat somewhere else.More
Casual environment, nicely served food but probably below a couple of other interesting options in Purmamarca
I stayed in this beautiful hotel only one night and wish I stayed longer. The hotel is a gem, well kept and with all services one may need, including decent internet, which is not granted in this remote corner of Argentina. The personnel was adorable...and keen to help. The view from the room is fantastic. Breakfast was fantastic. I did not try the restaurant but judging from the menu it looked like a great option.More
good enough for a 1 night stay. purmamarca is a very rural town. expecting a five-star hotel experience is not realistic given the area. this hotel provided very good accommodations with unexpected amenities (they even have a nice heated pool!) rooms are somewhat rustic but...come complete with all basic hotel provisions.More
We ate lunch at the Hotel La Comarca. I was a little worried because we were the only ones there for lunch on a Monday (another group arrived shortly thereafter). Beautiful building. It was a very nice lunch — food was very tasty. The service...was very good. I believe it deserves its number one rating on Trip Advisor.More
We were very pleased we chose this hotel. The grounds and views are stunning and other worldly. We stayed in a family room and a cabin and both were great. I would not need to pay extra for the cabin unless I was staying more...than a couple of days. Not in the town but the grounds and pool make up for the 10 minute walk.More
A fine restaurant in the La Comarca Hotel in the northern Argentine city Purmamarca in the sub-andean mountains.
I finally ordered steak at the end of the trip, in this quiet town. It was fantastic and plated beautifully with vegetables and a corn pudding. Cooked to order, tender and with minimal fat. All the meals were perfect, but save room for dessert.
We were staying in the hotel and had a couple of three course evening meals here. The service and food were excellent. The dining room might lack a bit of atmosphere but the food was freshly made and delicious with at times, a real touch...of class.More
We stayed a night here. It's a beautiful hotel in what is one of the more spectacular settings you might encounter. The rooms are comfortable. Make sure you get a room with a BBQ out the back so you can take in the lovely surroundings....Although it says it has wifi we were unable to connect. The pool is outdoor and looks great although we didn't have time to get in.More
The food was tasty and wholesome. The dishes were imaginatively put together . The atmosphere was pleasant and there was a buzz of voices .
We went for dinner at 9:00 pm and were not the only people! Took a remis (taxi) from our hotel. My husband had a salad, loved it, and bruschetta that he did not like, it had chewy ham on it. I had grilled trout, very...nice. Despite a Visa sign on the door they only took cash. Giving it for four stars because although good for Purmamarca it was not earth shattering.More
