This is a good restaurant away from the crowded places on the main street; its prices are quite reasonable and the proprietor can easily make adjustments to accommodate vegetarians-- just ask. It's nice to have the choice of a quiet table outside or indoors, and to enjoy a leisurely lunch in a friendly and calm atmosphere. I have a rental... More

Very friendly staff, great lunch menu, amazing location right behind the Cathedral and really warm atmosphere. Staff working very hard with busy lunch crowd. Crepes very nice.

Out for dinner while on holiday the main venues on the high street had not opened as it was before 7pm. So we walked around the cathedral and stumbled across this little gem as they opened up. Such a warm welcome quick service, menus with a good variety reasonably priced. We ordered and food was quick but not too quick.... More

We usually get a good value for money/good meal experience in this restaurant. We went on a Monday in August, and as is often the case in France, most restaurants in town were shut. Consequently, this one was fairly busy... this unfortunately impacted on service (rushed manager, clumsy waitresses....). The food was good but I wouldn't recommend eating galettes/crepes there.... A lovely restaurant situated just by the beautiful cathedral. We had been recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. The kids had the best mussels they've ever had, I had the dory and hubby the steak. Fabulous service, reasonably priced and fabulous food.

Le Saint Samson is an averagely priced restaurant with a good selection of food. The ambience is pleasant as are the young men serving. Very good for lunch - haven't been in the evening, but have been in the winter and eaten in front of the roaring fire.

We have been coming here for many years and it seems that it has changed hands recently. Fortunately, the new owners have maintained the standard of food and service. A lovely restaurant for lunch (have not been at night) with a varied menu including steaks and fish as well as the usual galette options. Set menus offer very good value.

Traditional facade and emphssis on creperie dishes hide a larger restaurant serving a full range of French cuisine. The concerned welcome to sort out a table for two in an apparently fully booked dining room was greatly appreciated. Reasonable selection of daily offers. Our final choice from the menu of fricasse of scallops resulted in excellent cuisine and not too... More
