We love it at the Bridge in . Beautiful beer garden . Beautiful food , beautiful view . One of my favourite places to be in the world.

We met at the Bridge Inn for lunch before continuing to Wastwater. There were outdoor picnic tables as well as indoor options. The lunch menu was extensive plus the ciabatta sandwich choices which were excellent including the one full of battered fish. A very good...lunchMore

We have just stayed for 3 nights at The Bridge Inn and were disappointed by the state of the rooms. They are in dire need of modernisation and very small. The bathroom fittings are discoloured and clearly years old and the furniture very shabby. The...carpets are also filthy. We were met by a frosty reception from the barman but service improved as time went on. The food portions were very large and good quality as was breakfast. No room cleaning due to Covid but replacement towels would have been nice after 3 days they were wet. Please change the music we have overdosed on genesis and Lionel Ritchie. Beautiful scenery and great location for walks but I doubt we would return.More

We have just spent 2 nights at this small inn, having visited over many years for drinks after family walks in wasdale. We booked a double room but were very disappointed with what we were offered for our money. The decor was drab and dowdy,...furniture generally shabby, carpets marked and windows that didn’t not close properly - rotting sills. Having need of some heat during this unseasonably chilly bank holiday, we found that the radiators did not function properly. The bathroom fittings were unhygienic and Toilet seat unstable, dirty corners at floor level, inadequate by today’s much stricter COVID standards. Bed though comfortable enough did not have any additional bedding for colder conditions. Staff though willing were few and far between. One Evening meal was satisfactory, breakfast less so. We don’t envisage a follow up stay- Sadly disappointed from Worcestershire.More

Under the pressure of covid they made sure that everyone had a table most tables we're booked but if you got in about 17.00 they would squeeze you in and the food was exellant

This pub was really nice and I would recommend. It has really very portion sizes and lovely lovely food.

We stopped at the bridge inn for lunch on Wednesday the 19th August, after a wait for the one person working cleaning tables, removing glasses and serving behind bar taking orders. I ordered 4 meals only one person out of our party had a decent...Meal of the trio of sausages with mash, two of us had the chicken the one with bq sauce was burnt and tasted of washing up liquid not sauce the only thing eaten was the mash and salad, the other chicken was plain did not taste fresh and the chips looked like they had been cooked previously and re heated all this was left. The last one of the party had fish and chips fish was small not large and was nearly all batter and the chips were the same re heated. There was only one person in the restaurant when we arrived This should have been a warning sign to us.More
