Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were here as a group and had a fixed menu after our visit to the Carrara marble quarry. The food was served with warmth and genuine hospitality and all of us had a wonderful dining experience. I particularly enjoyed the bread pudding with honey!...The ambience reflects the service.More

Small restaurant in the storic centre of the town. Gourgeous. They serve only fresh fish, few dishes but really good and well served; the kitchen is very quick; they have a good choice of wines. Medium prices. Good also for vegetarians.

We literally stumbled up on this place while looking for another recommended place, the atmosphere was perfect Italian garden settings, the service was prompt and courteous, they had an excellent selection of wines from Tuscany and the surrounding area's. The seafood salad is well presented...and delicious, we had the ragu. pasta from the local Tuscany cattle beef which was most excellent, I believe it's called Chiantini. beef, better than Argentina and Kobe and USDA, grade A. The steaks came next, I believe they were ribeye cuts and they were most excellente.More

ReBacco is the restaurant you just wish you had found before. Every time we have been there we had a unique experience. Not only is the location perfect, just a few steps away from the fabulous Piazza Alberica in historic Carrara town centre, but all...the rest is simply fantastic. The wines selection is carefully prepared by Nadia, owner and professional sommelière eager to suggest quality wines, preferably local, that go just perfectly with what you have ordered. Food is fresh, very well presented and…GOOD. Again the owners’ choice goes to local ingredients or even new versions of traditional recipes. Please listen to Nadia’s suggestions: they are impeccable and you will not regret it. Overall, good food and beverages should be enough to encourage you to go to ReBacco. But there is something more that makes the experience even more rewarding: PEOPLE. From the owner, to the waiter, to the cook, everybody is there to please the customer, have a chat and give tips on Carrara’s well kept secrets or just to leave you in tranquility if so you wish. I can’t just wait to go back!More

Il ReBacco is housed in a 16th c. monastery and has a number of dining settings; we chose the inner courtyard, with gravel floor and full of green plants, with only three tables. It was intimate enough and very romantic. The menu is both from...the sea and the earth. The dishes are attractively presented and they are also very tasty. Service is polite, if slightly on the slow side. Bill in the norm.More

The food was excellent, the service superior and attentive, the suggested wine was perfect but the chocolate mouse I had was to die for. We sat outside and, as the restaurant is on a slightly sloping street, it felt a little strange (my dining partner...was a little higher than me) but really an excellent choice that I made through TripAdvisor (having had a disastrous experience the night before in Sarzana with pot luck.) A little bit pricey, to be honest - but I'd go back tomorrow if only for the chocolate mouse!More

I organize cultural tours in Tuscany. Our guide for the Carrara marble quarries recommended Rebacco years ago and we loved it from the first bite! The food is fresh and delicious in every season. Nadia and Simona have an excellent selection of wines and give...good recommendations. In essence, they have good taste and the pride they have in their wine bar shows. Our travelers always enjoy the meal and the warm welcome at Rebacco.More
