very nice location . We came with a bike and 10 km climb from the ferry port in Stari Grad is paid only for the scenery and the hospitality. Quality of food is extra plus

You need to use old road to reach this place with splendid view on Hvar and surrounding islands. Be careful when driving as road is narrow and you need to be very concentrated on driving which is not easy because of the nature and view from the road. You will also see some beautiful old villages on the road. Restaurant... More

A 4x4 Jeep Safari tour that I was on stopped here for a mid-tour break. Since all I had was some very good gelato, I can't say much about the menu. However the other people on the tour complemented the food and wine that they had. As other reviewers have noted the views from the restaurant were magnificent.

Located on a hilltop the restaurant offers a great view on the northern and the southern coast of the island Hvar. Ideal for cyclists' shandy/radler break or for a romantic dinner at sunset with your special someone. The serving lady was friendly and suggested her favorite fish dish. It was indeed very tasty. In the end she brought home made... More

During our vacation in Hvar, we decided to go on a daily trip to Stari Grad, Jelsa and Vrboska. Owner of the place suggested us to take the old road on our way back from Stari Grad to Hvar and wow, what great decision that was. On the top of the hill, just half way between Stari Grad and Hvar,... More

I've ate here the best steak EVER! Everything else we ordered was also excellent e.g. grilled vegetables and home grown mixed salad. Pancakes with homemade marmelade was a compliment of the house. The view of the island is great. Excellent experience overall. Recommend!

We popped in here, starving, after a day riding around the island on a scooter and what a find! This authentic, family run restaurant provided a lunch which far surpassed any expectations we had. The lovely owner helped us choose, and the lamb and pork (complete with amazing cracking) was served almost immediately thanks to the fire oven they had... More

Wonderful scenery and views of both sides of the island and delicious home made food but a little too expensive for out of town restaurant.

We bypasses the typical tourist-filled restaurants in Hvar Town and headed toward a tiny village in the hills to reach this cozy family restaurant. We took a short tour through the family's garden where they grow their own tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, paprika, berries, among other delicious, organic goodies. We picked a few veggies for our own meal. Some delicious, crisp... More

It is really beautiful view! If you come in night you can see lights from Stari Grad. Go on old road from Stari Grad to Hvar and you can miss it. We didn't eat anything, just take a drink and enjoy in beauty of nature.

Description
Family restaurant located 10 km from the town of Hvar, offers a spectacular view that stretches from Bol on Brac on the north side to Visa, Apples, Paklenski the islands and Italy to the south. The only place on the road from where you can see the sea and both sides, south and the north. Beautiful sunsets in a range of colors from pink, orange to bright red. Far from the hustle and bustle offers complete relaxation and privacy. Whether you want to dine in the cozy atmosphere or just have a glass of wine while you reading your favorite book. The restaurant is open in the pre and post season in the morning 9:00 to 18:00 and offers lunch (for dinner you need to make a reservations) and in season (6,7,8 and 9 months) during the dinner. The restaurant has a playground that will be useful not only children, but also to the parents, without haste or fear for the children, so they can enjoy the food that is prepared with love in the family restaurant. Also there is a ground for bowling / Baloo and guests can play for free while waiting for the meal or to relax after the meal. In addition to bowling, the terrain is a garden where guests can see, and pick vegetables that will be served( in season). All the vegetables is eco and organic farming. The restaurant is famous for its traditional Dalmatian meal - PAŠTICADA (beef cooked in wine for at least 4 hours, and is served with homemade gnocchi), or PEKA- octopus/ veal/ lamb or chicken made under the bell with lots of vegetables and potatoes, cooked in their own juices and our olive oil (must be ordered 3h before and served for 2 people minimum). Dishes of this restaurant are based on grill where we use exclusively wood, pine and olive, never coal. With fresh meat or fish grilled happy to recommend local potatoes made on Lilis way ( recipe of restaurant owner from 80's).
