it's a beautiful place. a great patio under a huge tree, mariachis playing and wonderful service. the food is quite secondary there and so is its quality. nevertheless, it is a nice place to have a beer and some "botanas" (Mexican first dishes)

I found this place very touristy, service was ok. Food did not have much flavor. One of the salsas was very good. We would not return.

El Abajeno was recommended and it lived up to the reputation. Mariachis, some times 2 groups! Excellent service and delicious food, all served up in a charming patio under the shade of trees. It is a signature Tlaquepaque experience. - Janet Gillespie
