I have been to Cambodia three times and had to cancel my fourth trip due to COVID restrictions. Finding Bunnath Kitchen was almost as good as being back in Cambodia. Even the feel of the restaurant is just right - you come in off the...street at Robina, and suddenly it honestly feels as though you could be in a classy little restaurant on the Tonle Sap riverfront. Everything from the cheery "Chumreapsoor!" as we walked in, to the decor, to the artwork, was just right. My partner has never been to Cambodia, and I was keen to introduce her to some of the traditional dishes. The banquets looked great, but we went with keung as an entree (perfectly spiced, cooked to perfection). For mains, the beef lok luk and fish amok were just ridiculously good. There's no way a non-Cambodian person could fake this traditional cooking - it has to be done by a Khmer person. I cannot emphasise this enough - this was genuine Cambodian cooking of the type that you would eat in any good restaurant in Cambodia. If you have never been to Cambodia but want to experience just a little of that beautiful country, come to this restaurant. I was even able to order an Angkor beer! For those of you who have never eaten Cambodian food before, there is nothing to fear on the menu. Unlike some Asian and Indian food, Cambodian food is very mildly spiced. The Amok had just a little bite from the chilli, but I am an absolute wimp when it comes to chilli and I had no difficulty with it at all. The prices are very reasonable - especially when you consider that the food is being prepared in the traditional manner. We were there for lunch, and could hear the spices being ground by a traditional mortar and pestle in the kitchen. For just a few bucks more than you would pay at an RSL bistro, you can have a completely different experience. There is really very little to fault about this restaurant, which is why I am gushing. If I were to come up with something to criticise, I would say that the parking isn't fantastic. Honestly though, just go try this restaurant. Then you will be waiting, like me, for the end of the damn Coronavirus so you can go check out Cambodia yourself.More

The banquet was amazing. A huge variety of dishes and unique flavours. Never had Cambodian food before but this place is now definitely on our list of favorites. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit and we cannot recommend this place enough. Cambodian cuisine, very affordable and extraordinary flavour. Friendly staff. Photo is of dessert because we ate everything else before we had a chance to document.

I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. From the warm welcome we got when we arrived, helpful hints on what to order for fussy kids, the most delicious food & overall excellent service. I’m still dreaming about the food today. I only wish it was...local to us. We very much look forward to going back the next time we visit the GC.More

I have been to Cambodia twice and struggled to find vegetarian Khmer food while I was there. What a delight to find a Cambodian restaurant on the Gold Coast that could accommodate me. I had the house-made crispy vegetarian spring rolls that you wrap in...a lettuce leaf with cucumber and mint before dipping into a refreshing vinaigrette. However, the stand out was the vegetarian Keung - a medley of mushrooms and mixed vegetables with special herbs wrapped in bean curd skin fried until crispy and served with house-made pickled vegetables - absolutely delicious. Perhaps a tad sweet, but the pickled vegetables balance out the dish. I can't wait to come back to try the Bok Loh Hong - young, green papaya salad - one of my favourites. How wonderful to be able to travel with our taste buds during travel restrictions.More

For entree we have the spring rolls and chicken satay skewers. While everything was very tasty, i am not sure why there was no satay sauce to accompany the skewers. For mains we had the fish curry, beef salad and two servings of papaya salad....All were excellent. While there was obviously some effort made to place excellent photos of Cambodia on the walls, and other ornaments, it was hard to imagine you were dining there when the screaming voice of Barbara Streisand was blaring out the audio system. Some local Cambodian music would have been more authentic. Also a reminder had to be made to the waiter that the dishes that we had our entree on would need to be replaced for our main meal. A total of $130 for two.More

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Bunnath Kitchen, a first visit for each of our group of four. We received lots of friendly attention in a welcoming environment (so clean too). The service was outstanding! We had the banquet. The food was incredible, high quality,...full of flavour, great variety and perfect portions. Each of us want to go back and share this great restaurant with others. I highly recommend.More

We came here for the first time last night after our neighbours previously had takeaway and Ivy suggested to come in for the experience. We were blown away by the exceptional service and quality of food. Ivy is an absolute sweetheart who suggested so many...things to try and how to eat the dish properly to obtain all the flavours. As a foodie I loved that there was this element to the service and it's a rarity. The food is on a level of fine dining, delicate and very well priced. We had the $50 dollar banquet and the value for money was unbelievable with Ivy's special dessert to finish. All the staff are lovely and attentive. A truly amazing experience and a place we will definitely come back to in the future. Thank you so much Ivy and team, you've created a wonderful, family orientated, wholesome place ❤️More
