Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bunnath Kitchen (aka Ivy’s Place) has met all expectations and indeed exceeded them as has been the case on several past visits. I recently saw a scathing review of this little gem and all I can say is that the writer must have confused Ivy’s...with somewhere else! If you want cheap, don’t come to Ivy’s!More

Had an EXTREMELY frustrating and disappointing experience. Decided to try this restaurant and even bought a $100 voucher for it after seeing such positive reviews. Had to ask for water 3 times before finally receiving it. Ordered scallops, steak, beef curry and prawns which added...up to around $100 (the amount on the voucher). They didn’t have scallops so went with pork mince entree. The owner lady confirmed the total was around $100 for the entrée and 3 mains. We Waited about 20 minutes for the pork mince, and after another half an hour still haven’t been served any main dishes. We asked whether the chefs have started preparing our mains, but the owner told us to be more patient and that our order would be prioritised because we were also asian. The waiter told us all our mains would be served together. 10 minutes later we received only our beef curry, despite being promised all our mains. Another 15 minutes later we received our steak. After finishing our steak and waiting another 15 minutes we the waiter asked how long our prawns would take and we were told we never ordered prawns DESPITE THE OWNER CONFIRMING THE TOTAL OF OUR DISHES when we ordered. The waiter asked if we would like to wait another 10 minutes for our prawns but after having waited over an hour already we didn’t want to wait any longer and left after only spending $70 of the $100 voucher. The food was average at best. Quite possibly the worst dining experience I’ve had in my life.More

Exceptional We start with the vegetable Kyung - a medley of mushrooms and mixed vegetables with special herbs wrapped in fried bean curd skin. It was delectable with a sweet perfumed taste. Phil had the Kari Saramun - cubes of slow cooked beef in a...mild, yet rich, curry with whole peanuts. "The meal was a delicate curry with peanuts and a beautiful, smooth flavour." I had the green papaya salad, which was crispy, fresh and a delicious blend of flavours. We added the kampong pepper special fried rice. Well worth the added expense. The kampong pepper added another dimension with its unique taste and spiciness. With excellent hospitality and beyond delicious food, we highly recommend you give this restaurant a try. It's not a Western version of SEA food, it is so authentic that you will feel like you are transported to Cambodia.More

Basic decor. Well spaced tables. Pleasant ambiance. Staff are knowledgeable and quick throughout. Owner (Ivy) personally attends table to see how things are, twice. Food quality excellent. Portions not huge but ample. We had two entrees, two mains w jasmin rice and a special fried...rice. Just the right quantity of food for two adults who are not huge eaters. With a beer, 1 cocktail and a soft drink - $160. Definitely will be back.More

Really not sure what to expect from this one. Almost nobody was there on a Sunday - but I am told it gets rather busy during the week. Friendly atmosphere. Food is quite unique. It's neither Thai nor Malaysian, Vietnamese or 'Chinese'. Super yummy but....I could eat the sauce of their fish yellow curry - Amok Trei - with a spoon. Surely we'll be back for more.More

This restaurant provides Exceptional Asian French Food. Perhaps unsurprisingly, only a Cambodian can do as well as this. It has a subtlety in dealing with Asian dishes that reflects a strong French influence. The flavours are just a bit more delicate than in Thai and...Vietnamese foods. They deal with gluten free requirements in most dishes and allow wine BYO! We opted for the banquet to see the range and were so pleased that we did. Ivy is an outstanding host - even the more subtle style spoke volumes and added to the enjoyment of the meal.More

Visited on a friends recommendation and were so glad we did. From the friendly greeting to leaving it was an excellent experience. Nice ambience with well spaced tables and excellent blow ups, especially Ankor Wat at sunrise. As it was our first visit we choose...on dish that we’d enjoyed in Cambodia, Amok Mouan though with chicken rather than the more traditional fish. It was excellent, succulent pieces of chicken and beautiful yellow curry gravy. The other main we choose was Plear Saj Koh, very tender beef in a really refreshing salad with a lovely vinaigrette. A small steamed rice rounded off the meal. Portions were very generous, incredibly fresh and cooked with quality ingredients Unfortunately there was no Cambodian beer. Choose an excellent crisp white from the short wine list. Service was very efficient. Water topped up without requesting. Even got to meet Ivy. Will return with the friends we visited Cambodia with to try some entrees and a few other mains, all of which read wellMore

Never had Cambodian food before and I'm not an adventurous eater, but I threw caution to the wind and ordered dishes that I had no idea what they were like... every one of them was yummy and amazing! Everyone else enjoyed their dishes too (they...ordered different dishes). I had Keung for entree, Amok Mouan and rice for main, and Ivy Delight for dessert. I was very, very happy with every one of those dishes. Comfortable setting too... tables weren't cramped next to each other like some restaurants. Beautiful, high-quality food and great service. I'll be back to try other dishes! Will whole-heartedly recommend the restaurant to anyone interested. Minor point: I shared the rice and wasn't totally full when I left. Next time I'll have a rice all to myself, or order a 2nd entree.More
