This is a place where the locals meet, beautiful beach vies across the street. The cafe is a favourite place for cyclists meeting there in the mornings for breakfast and a coffee or lunch. No heavy traffic, quiet and peaceful. You can get your coffee take away and sit on the grass in the park opposite or beach locations. Beautiful ocean scene / great skies when cloudy, one of my favourite places. Walk south and climb the stairs for a beautiful lookout over Miami and looking south to Coolangatta, great bay with hinterland mountain views. Campsite round the corner with beach huts as well.

Been 7 months since I have been back here, staff are friendly, great location, comp water, we ordered 3 medium flat white, seems to take longer than expected, went up to ask if they were on the way after 15 min, said they were about to start making them. 10 min later 2 came over….5 more min the third one came. $15. Nice relax under umbrella at 9.45 am.

Whenever we are at the Gold Coast we do not miss an opprtunity to have a coffee or breakfast at Piccolo Espresso. The actual place is ona corner facing the beach. The staff are so efficient and friendly. The coffee is the best on the coast. I love the jungle juice. There is a large selection on the menu for brekfast. Healthy and good portions.

There are two things you can always predict at Piccolo - a crowd of happy people and good coffee. Ordering at the counter with friendly staff is a pleasant experience. CoVid protocols are quite good. Sitting under an umbrella is pleasant but if it’s too crowded the park and beach are only across the street. Water is self service. Love this little gem under the Miami SLSC and across from the beach.
Have been visiting and enjoying for many years, firstly as a coffee stop on coastal walks, and then for Breakfast or Brunch from 2020, with extra days off during COVID, it became my go to cafe when I want to treat myself. And that continues.
Always have the Smashed Avo and Feta. Today I made a change as not so hungry and glad I did! The Spinach and Feta Muffin with Tomato Relish was delicious. And as always, coffee (Merlo) fantastic.
I can easily spend a couple of hours here reading, catching up on emails (complimentary wifi thanks to the City of Gold Coast’s Surf Network) and enjoying the sea breeze and ocean views along this perfect little stretch of coastline.

Why are you charging $5-25 for medium size coffee. Most other Espresso outlets including Merlo outlets only charge $4-50 fpr same size. No excuse for ripping off customers on a normal Saturday. A very bad look. Will keep clear of you in future.

We went to this café everyday of our holiday. Great walk at the end of the beach.
The coffee was good Merlot (the brand, not the wine). The pastries were great (I had the almond croissant every time).
They offer free self serve tap water.
You come in swimsuits easily.
Great vibe.
The staff member in the bike shorts, black r-shirt and pony tail was lovely.

We stay at the Ocean Beach caravan park right next door a few times a year. Even at 6:15 when the coffee shop opens there is a queue. Great coffee and a brilliant place to start the morning.

We love Piccolo Espresso ☕️..every time we visit the Gold Coast we always try & have Bfast or lunch there ..great position right on Miami beach 🏖..& it seems a place locals visit regularly..we enjoyed our Bfast of Nourish bowl with salmon which was great & well presented , Bircher muesli & the big egg Bfast with mushrooms..spinach ..baked beans & avocado 🥑 which our son really enjoyed ..our coffees were great also ..after we ate we headed over to the beach for a swim ..after that we returned and got takeaway coffee frappe which is so good & a couple of fruit smoothies which were really enjoyed ..takeaway took a little while but the drinks were worth it ..great little beach side cafe ..will return on our next Gold Coast holiday
