Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

That's great to hear, the garlic prawns are everyone's favourite and have remained on our new winter menu! Our deserts are made in house, be sure to check out the new winter menu on your next visit!

We had a special room (including setup time), really great service and excellent food (including gluten free and vegetarian choices). There was a river view until sunset and the vibe was great. After the birthday dinner, we moved to the live music area and enjoyed...that as well. The only extra cost above standard prices was $2 a head for white table clothes.More

We went to Alleys Restaurant for dinner to celebrate a special family occasion on 18th September. What a lovely place this is,in more ways than one. Lovely location, lovely staff, lovely ambience, and lovely food! The staff gave excellent, prompt service and were very friendly...and attentive. They were happy to take photos, and made the kids welcome too. The food was delicious. We asked for more garlic bread (best we've ever had), and my main meal of tender duck breast was superb! Thankyou to everyone at Alley's for making our family celebration so special. We will definitely return for another meal next time we come to the Gold Coast. :)More

Went here for dinner last night. The service as wonderful but the food needs to improve. The Pork belly was very chewy and only 2 pieces on the plate which was then filled with a lot of Asian vegetables to cover the plate. The mashed...sweet potato was the best part of the meal. definitely not value for size of meal. The crumbed flat head tasted as though it was not fresh (frozen) and had an odd taste. I was going to order the Parme but was told that they are not fresh either, they are precooked. I really feel that this is not good enough for a club that calls itself "The best little club on the Coast". if this statement is true the other Clubs must be unbelievable.More

This is a lovely restaurant within the Currumbin RSL. The club itself is small & stylish as is Alleys . A very comfortable atmosphere with an excellent menu. The waitress staff are friendly & helpful. The menu has a great selection & the meals are...presented with style. Far superior food to the average club. Thanks to the head chef & his kitchen staff - we enjoyed our meals again. We are regular customers who have no problem spreading the word.More

After reading the reviews we thought we would try this and it's also recommended by Virgin Velocity. I am shocked by the reviews. Definitely did not live up to the reviews, we are pretty fair but I am shocked. it's a restaurant inside an RSL...club, normally you cant go wrong with an RSL bistro but this is a restaurant. The service was OK, there was one waitress servicing the people on the balcony and there were a few big groups. She was flustered and overwhelmed. The food was terrible, it's making me feel sick again just thinking about it. We had the pork dumplings to start and some garlic bread, they were pretty good and we were then excited to have our mains but that didn't last long. Husband got the pork sausage special, it was lumpy mash with some bistro vegetables (not that fresh) and 2 sausages that were from a supermarket and not gourmet butcher, at $26 it was very basic food and not much taste. He left half his meal. I had the parmigana, sounded good on the menu but it was terrible. The ham smelt like it was off which put me off the meal, I have never felt so nauseous after eating. 2 glasses of wine (which most was out of stock 3 days after Melbourne Cup - don't even get me started) and our meals, the bill was $89. Super expensive for a RSL restaurant meal! This is not a place we wold recommend or be going back to.More

I'm going to share my pleasant lunch experience with my friends. I do hope that young man gets a movie pass or something, just to show that his work is appreciated & doesn't go unnoticed.More

We had booked for lunch after the Anzac March, 9 people one 90 in a wheel chair. One person greeting a long line of guests. There were at least 6 staff but no one seemed to know what was going on. After the confusion of...the booking we requested we wanted our own bill for the 9 of us, 'that was not policy.' We said then we will separate the tables, would that work. Lots of no not possible until we said we will leave. That worked. Staff were cleaning cutlery while we were waiting to order for 15 minutes. No drinks could be consumed before 1pm as it was Anzac Day. We had just had beers at Pottsville RSL, I know it's NSW but we were still in the same country. Once we had ordered meals were quick to arrive, they were well presented and tasty, thanks kitchen but your front of house staff need some training. It's a restaurant we were not there to admire the view.More
