Open 7 days a week, The Collective is the Gold Coast's tastiest new playground featuring five restaurants, one bar, and a rooftop bar and dining experience. After having this on my list to try for a little while I finally made it here with 2 of my family. It certainly didn’t disappoint. Everyone’s favourite meal was on the menu so we had 3 different countries dishes at our table in no time - Chinese, Italian and Mexican. The nachos were so good I couldn’t stop picking off my daughters plate till she said no more their mine! Our pizza and spring rolls were also terrific. The service, food and atmosphere were 11/10 we loved it and can’t wait to go back. Thank you for a great meal. If you are going I strongly recommend booking as we went on a Thursday night at 5pm and we were lucky to secure a table before the next party arrived.

Why family of (extended) of 9 people celebrated my birthday with me here and I have not eaten at a better venue or idea for a venue ever on this cost. From Italian to Japanese, Burgers and in between there is something for everyone and their clever use of electronic ordering technology (tablets) meant everything arrived when it should. IK loved it as did the rest of my family

Visiting Gold Coast from UK we decided to have a family night out and this place was recommended.
There are 5 different styles of food available, all cooked and served by different kitchens. Everyone at the table can order from different kitchens and indeed an individual can order different courses from different kitchens.
There were 7 of us and it seemed possible that this set up could go horribly wrong - there are too many things to co-ordinate for everyone to be eating at the same time.
Indeed food does arrive at slightly different times but not with any great delays and this in fact added to the atmosphere and fun of the evening.
You manage all ordering yourselves using their supplied "ipad".
It's a different experience, it works and is fun.
Amongst describing the evening I forgot to mention that the food was VERY good - the portions appear a little small for the price but the quality is good.

This is one of those places that provides a different experience so everyone gets on the bandwagon but it just doesn't work. You order from an iPad and have to synchronize your order with the rest of your party, otherwise food comes out at all different times. Personally, I'd much rather restaurant staff take care of that for me rather than having to orchestrate ourselves. iPad's battery dies so you must wait for someone to bring another. It was a disorganized mess and way to much energy for the prices you pay, which are exorbitant for very average food. Kids may like it because they get to play on an iPad not realizing that each click is $10, $10, $15, $20 ...
If you want a lovely relaxed, good value for money meal then this is NOT the place to go.

What a wonderful concept The Collective is....... 5 different cuisines and 2 bars all under one roof and everything is ordered from your table by electronic means. There was no lining up and having to wait endlessly in queues or waiting for staff to make it to our table. Instead we could relax and enjoy one another's company, the way a night out together should be. It was our first visit but it definitely won't be our last. With a vast array of choices we could all find something to appeal to our individual tastes and all was delivered without fuss or bother and in the friendliest of fashions. We tried every cuisine on offer and loved it all. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, arrived in timely fashion and was great value to boot. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will most definitely be back. I thoroughly recommend The Collective for a great night out.

Not only that my table I prebook a month prior to my birthday dinner and on arrival having to wait 15min for a table to be organised that was not ready and in the area that was hot with no ceiling fans and loud noise. meals coming out hour late and drinks that we did not order. Our table waitress that left the table before you could even finish speaking . The meal that I ordered said it was home made gnocchi on the menu but that tasted frozen gnocchi with melted cheese and plain tomato pure. It tasted terrible and really cheap and nasty and over priced I will not be returning I know many of my guest seemed to agree during there dining . I have dined at many restaurants in my time this is one I will definitely not be returning too.

The Collective certainly has a point of difference, a variety of quality food types and a very upbeat atmosphere. Specialty is it's variety of small dishes, these are good but can quickly become expensive. If the budget is important, go for pizza, which is equally good.

I have had so many people rave about this place so I have now been for lunch on two separate occasions. It is so overpriced for what you get and what you get isn’t even that nice. It cost $17 for a small side of guacamole and corn chips in a tiny bowl. So with one serving of guacamole, one serving of nachos and one cocktail the bill was $65. There is also no aircon so I don’t recommend going in the extreme summer heat and humidity as you will just sweat sitting there. I really don’t want to visit again.

My daughter and I ate here for dinner recently. What a great place. It’s a collection of small kitchens under the one roof and you can choose from the menus of each kitchen. Asian, American, Mexican, Italian and Australian. You are given a tablet which has all the menus on it to select your dishes and also your drinks. Meals come from each kitchen according to how busy they are. Great experience and excellent food. Highly recommend.

Actually went twice in 3 days. Firstly with a large group and we were upstairs, which would be great on a nice day as against rainy night. Had difficulty understanding the process so was a little confused by it all. Not enough staff for our group so service was slow but friendly. Drink prices were up there, the cheaper wine ($29) was aweful and why they would have $100 bottles of wine in this type of place is confusing.
Second time was smaller group of 6, still rainy and got to understand the process which is good.Using a supplied tablet you can order food & wine yourself. Great food range from 5 different styles of food - pizza, mexican, asian, burgers etc. Also options of small share plates to larger style meals. Service satisfactory but could do with a bit more pep. Again the wine is way overpriced

Been going to the Collective ever since it opened and have never had a bad experience.
Tonight they did the simplest thing that will make me tell everyone I know to go there.
Ordered the hanging Souvlaki and when it was delivered to the table I reached to move it closer and both skewers slipped straight off and onto the floor.
I was prepared to pay for replacements but they went ahead and replaced them for me at no charge. It was obviously a small cost to them but really appreciated by me.
It’s the small things like this that count and bring people back.
Oh and by the way the food was great b

My wife & I are regulars here because the food, service and ambience are always top notch. It's so good to see that The Collective is open for indoor dining again and we couldn't wait to come back. The staff are always smiling and helpful. We were here last Friday and booked to come back in 2 weeks. We started off with the popcorn prawns which we haven't tried before. OMG they were sensational and we will be ordering double on our next visit as words cannot express how delicious these little babies are. The rest of our food was delicious and it's so good to drink wine from really nice glasses. It's the little things that this place does that really makes everything fall into place. We generally like sitting near the upstairs bar, however the last few times we have just sat where we were directed to and no matter where we are it is great! We were downstairs last Friday and surprised and really happy to have and be near some entertainment which was also really good. The management here really know their business so it is no suprise that it is one of the best places to eat at the Gold Coast and certainly one of our favourite places to come to.

Noisy, food not cooked properly, all dishes arrived at different times, my husband waited for half an hour later for his meal. The staff seemed confused as to why the food wasn’t cooked properly or still not arrived. Half the meal of mussels were still not opened. Had to send them back as the waitress stared at us with blank look on her face. You order your food on an app and they still took the food to the wrong tables. Trendy doesn’t work if it doesn’t follow through with good food and service.

The night that you dined with us we were relaunching a new menu and apologize for the wait time on that kitchen (it was definitely longer than normal) due to the excitement of all the new options! Group of 7 had dinner tonight. Everyone who had Italian was disappointed. Mushroom truffle pasta was tasteless
And not seasoned, spaghetti with tomatoes sauce was disgusting. Was like tinned spaghetti in tomato sauce. Pizza was undercooked with way too much sauce. Couldn’t lift a piece without the topping sliding off. We also ordered vegan garlic bread...asked the waitress if it was vegan when it was brought to the table and she said yea. Ten minutes later she arrived the vegan garlic bread and said the other one wasn’t...which had already been eaten. $350 worth of horrible food. Glad I live in Adelaide where chefs value what they put in front of you.

Five different restaurants under the same roof, you order from them all using a single ipad and the food is brought out to your table once it's ready - this means food from different restaurants will come out before others.
The price of the food was sa little higher than expected, and more expensive than similar cuisines in the area. The quality was fine but nothing to write home about.
Would recommend checking out the other local restaurants first, but still a good option if your group can't decide what to eat
