This is THE best Japanese Fusion food I have ever had. What a taste sensation we were presented with. We journeyed through 8 different dishes and every one just kept impressing. These chefs really know what they are doing here and they have something really special. You are made feel very special the moment you walk in and the ongoing service was impeccable.
Do yourself a favour and just go. Sensational.

Four of us ate dinner at Bistro Lamp on Sunday evening & chose to leave the food selection to the owner Sho (removing anything one or more of us couldn’t eat). We started with assorted sashimi (scallops eliminated), then wagyu beef tataki, grilled miso salmon, coconut chilli prawn gyozas, saganaki cheese, grilled scallops & pork ribs. The question was posed as to what each of us thought was their best dish & all came up with a different one. This restaurant is the equal if not better than any we have eaten at over many years on the Gold Coast.

Went with a group of 9 adults, ordered many dishes and all were beautiful. I definitely think sharing numerous meals will give you the best experience, mainly to appreciate all the different flavours of every dish. It wasn’t cheap ( about $75 per head including drinks) but we’ll worth the experience and will return.

Bistro Lamp is a good find. The chef is innovative producing some interesting fusion dishes.
The spicy karaage with cheese oven grilled on a hot pan was fusion at its tastiest as was the Truffle and Mushroom pasta in soy butter sauce. More of a European dish but created by Japanese hands.
We enjoyed the classic Agadashi Tofu and Pork Gyoza with chilli sour sauce though there was a creative version on offer as well.
The service was superb, personal and knowledgable. Good lunch. Well done Bistro Lamb!

As locals we love going to Bistro Lamp, they make the best Lychee Martinis. We enjoy the small plates to share, always delicious with specials available too. The taste of Japan when we can’t travel there right on our doorstop. Not to mention the fabulous service.

Always good to visit the team at Bistro Lamp Deux.
The food is always outstanding.
The team always remember my name and the service is first class.
We used to enjoy travelling to Japan for great skiing, food and drink each year but Covid19 has put a stop to that.
Bistro Lamp gives us a little bit of a taste of the authentic Japanese experience we miss whilst Covid—19 continued to make life challenging.

We absolutely loved our meal here! 2 x vegetation’s in the group and plenty of share plates to keep everyone happy.
Our favourites were the Tempura Eggplant and Chilli and Coconut Prawn Gyoza! 🥟
The services was attentive and friendly and the prices were excellent. We will be back!!

Visiting from Hervey Bay and booked this place for dinner. We loved the vibe, decor and everything we ordered was full of flavor and delicious. The drinks were yum also! Highly recommend this place

We drove past this restaurant a few times being on the corner of Markeri street and decided to try one night.
Food was beautiful. I ordered grilled Salmon and veggies and it was delicious.
The restaurant got a welcoming environment with great service and friendly staff.
Recommended 👌🏻
We will be back to try the other dishes for sure 😋

I have been to Japan multiple times and love Japanese food. If you are after proper authentic Japanese food, Lamp Bistro is the place to go. The food is all amazing and tastes great. Service was extremely fast and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced everything was. This is easily the best Japanese restaurant on the Gold Coast. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who loves Japanese food. I will be coming again. Thank you!

We cannot recommend more highly - took the family here while on holidays. Everyone, of all ages, loved the food. Great service and amazing atmosphere. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great night out!

I live locally and dine at Bistro Lamp regularly.....the food is excellent and very innovative, the staff friendly, great customer service, happy and the chef Sho... not only produces food that is truly scrumptious and mouthwateringly tasty, it is light and healthy.

Fabulous experience - recommended
This restaurant was hard to find but it was well worth it
The food is fresh and yummy
The menu is limited which means they specialise and knows what they are doing
The waitress is efficient and non intrusive
It was for my birthday dinner
