I thought this was going to be a seafood experience to delight the senses and tastebuds. Unfortunately there was no delight and the tastebuds went into denial. From our greeting we were worried. The waiter was no better, didn’t know his food, water poured up...to the top of a glass so picking it up became a water sport. The menu was straight out of the 1970’s when stodgy unappetising food was the go. The calamari was over tenderised, soft, tasteless. Not sure what the sauce was. Served on rice. The prawns were as tough as old boots, served on rice and the sauce indescribable not in a good way. As for crisp salad. I think it had been left dressed from the previous night. We watched people seated then they looked at the menu and walk out. We watched people receive the wrong order. If only we had left before ordering the wine. Life is too short for bad service and food.More

When booking we are asked if this is for a special occasion. It was for us a special wedding anniversary and we said so, however there was no particularly warm welcome at the door nor from our waiter for our occasion. So I would say...to Management that if you are not prepared to acknowledge a special occasion then don’t ask. Waiter was initially curt and indifferent but he did improve as the evening went on. Food was good and whole sole particularly pleasant.More

Don’t bother with this place, it’s so overpriced and nothing is stand out or amazing. The food is lacklustre, for the price you pay it should blow you away and be creative. Instead it’s tired and dated and mediocre at best. For a restaurant that...specialises in seafood it was disappointing to have mussels with beards still attached and no where to wash your hands as you crack crab. The salad was pathetic for the price and while some things looked good, they utterly disappointed with taste. Riding on the coattails of firmer glory this place is a huge let down.More

Just ok. Seafood platter for one was well below average. This used to be an outstanding restaurant but sadly not kept up high standards. Nice location and staff are good

If you want a restaurant that guarantees excellent food and service, then Omeros Bros is that restaurant. We were a table of six and every entree and main was fresh, delicious, and high quality. Service was exceptional. We were there over three hours, and it...never waned. We were given an excellent table, and the view was very pleasant. The final bill was very reasonable given the high quality of the seafood. We can't wait to return.More

The barbecued bugs were a bit dry, but the sushi and whiting were excellent. Excellent wine list and great service. Location is quite good and consistency is a real benefit.

The waiter service was five star but the food was a disappointment. I ordered a seafood platter for two and I suspect some of the seafood served up was cooked earlier, as it was edible but really dry and had used its useby serving time....Perhaps the chef hadn't arrived as we ate Early at 17:15. I also made the booking as a special occasion being my wife's birthday and would have thought they may have atleast said happy birthday to my wife when we were seated. A small detail but important if you want returning customers. In summary the calamari. fish and scalloped were very good, but the octopus was dry and chewy. The mussels were also overcooked and the Morton bay bugs were very dry. At $95 per head I would have expected a higher quality, you need to match your food , to the table service provided. I am not a whinger and only post reviews when the food is either great and/or not so great.More

I am a local business person and had been warned they were pricey, but I don't mind paying if the food is good. SADLY... I ordered the grilled octopus as a main- $41.00. I received 3 octopus legs about 5 cm in length, a tablespoon...of dip and a very small amount of coleslaw. That was bad enough but the octopus was rubbery and very chewy. Thank god for the baskets of fries they gave our table- and they were lovely and crisp. The others in my group seemed to fare better with their meals, but I was not impressed. I certainly won't be going back. There were 5 of us at this table, and we ordered quite a lot of food and some drinks, but it was difficult to get hold of the waiters attention to keep the water coming.[ It was not a busy night.] Rather than leave a couple of bottles for us, we had to keep waving them down. Then at 9.00pm they were asking us to leave so they could close down... on a Saturday night! I expect better from this supposed calibre of restaurant. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant... there are so many better options on the Gold Coast. Save your money and go elsewhere.More

We booked for a late lunch and had the perfect battered whiting where the batter is thin and incredibly crisp. The chips were different from the last visit and were coated which were less enjoyable than the ones that they used to serve but still...good. In general, the chips sent a signal of being frozen and more like eating a supermarket product at home. The grilled snapper was simple and fresh, the accompanying mash was rich and buttery. The salad thankfully remained the same as our last visit, it is a coleslaw with peas, mint and cheese curds made perfect with the addition of pickled red onions. The wine list is reliable and the service efficient, a bit on the cursory side but the food came promptly and for the most part was delicious. Overall it is a solid choice for seafood and represents reasonable value, here's hoping that the old fries make a come back.More

Smart casual would be ideal. The location is second to none, the service and food excellent. I believe it's a credit to you as the diner but also to the restaurateur to dress for the occasion. Elise.

Yes , I think they are able to BYO. I think it would be a good idea to look at their website or call them first, incase things have changed but when we went it was ok, for a corkage price.
