You could be forgiven for missing this beautiful restaurant, tucked neatly in a corner of the Palazzo Versace building, a tiny stroll from Marina Mirage .It offers magical views, outside/inside dining options. Terrific bar with full range of draught ales (Ladybird lager recommended) to wines...and cocktails. Terrific menu with unique combination of Mediterranean/Eastern cuisine. Friendly stsff who took care of our large party with ease. Our dining group was amazed with the luncheon experience, and the venue will be part of their regular dining calender. Do try, you will not be disappointed.More

Simply not your average waterfront dining establishment. We were welcomed immediately on entry, just the right degree of friendliness with an air of professionalism and shown to our table passing through a well patronised cocktail bar area in full flight. You just knew you should...have visited sooner. We were attended by a delightful young lady who delivered first drinks in nothing like the usual be seated, handed menus and then the waiter disappears into the ether. No need to imitate a family of Meerkats trying to attract anybody who may be able to quench your thirst. Wonderful to be able to work through your menu with that glass in hand. Fabulous, only way to describe the meals. Four diners, different tastes across the menu with comments of, wow you have to try this. Pointless trying to offer the standout but the Carpaccio may just get there by a nose. We didn’t try desserts, another day. Ladybird is a wonderful addition to the culinary landscape on the coast, well done. I can recommend the Green Dragon cocktail.More

The food and Ambience, decor of restaurant was beautiful. Looking out over the water with the sun going down was amazing. However they still haven’t got service right. Was taken to our table and given water, but then 20 minutes later had to grab someone’s...attention for drinks. Luca served us the drinks and asked him to take our food order as the first waitress never came back. She only had 5 tables of two to deal with and was overwhelmed. As a previous restaurant supervisor at Legends hotel and many others on the coast, the staff had no idea of sense of urgency, seemed to walk around at snails pace. Loads of staff on infact too many but service really slow. Thankfully Luca was on point and a few of my clients who have been also mentioned slow service but said Luca served them and was awesome. Food and drinks great but service guys and girls, needs vast improvement, same problems as when u were at hope island. Fix this and you’ve got an awesome restaurant at a fantastic location.More

We were greeted by everyone including the barman. When we preferred a different table to the one that was reserved for us ( air con too cold), they accommodated with a smile. Our dishes were the bolognaise and curry which were both superb and filling....It was raining and mid week and the restaurant was still relatively busy.More

Given a voucher for Xmas - went in early January. I know the view well but you can never tire of it - particularly at sunset. Ordered a variety of small dishes (the potatoes are to die for). Servings are generous & food quality is...excellent. Our wait service was superb thanks team.More

Exceptional flavors, presentation and service except for dry and flavorless king prawns and one steak not cooked as requested. The grand opening voucher (provided to random Gold Coast households) was a generous thought and this reduced our overall cost. A lovely experience; thank you.

Dining on the water provides a beautiful ambience - but make sure it is not in the afternoon or early evening or you will bake. We found the food ordinary as was the presentation despite the exceptional prices. Perhaps our expectations were too high. Entre:...Seared tuna sashimi - flavour good, delicate, melt-in-the-mouth but just layered in a large dish. Boring Mains: Squid ink pasta with prawns - when cooked prawns are served whole requiring removal of heads, tails and pealing one would expect a bowl for the shells and a finger bowl to wash fingers that get covered in mess! But not here. The prawns were large but dry. Chicken served on a lot of rice; flavour was good until the heat drowned that out as well. Side of bok choy forgotten; should have remained that way. Desert: the panna cotta came in a bowl, no 'wobble' and the fresh lemongrass flavour was drowned in sweetness of honey and rosewater. The chocolate ganache however was a hit! Beautiful presentation and delicious end to any meal. If you expect "fine" dining - this is not the place to go. If you want a view - go for itMore

Great ambience especially on the balcony over looking the marina. The staff were very friendly especially the lady at the desk. We had duck spring rolls, pork belly bites and steak with duck potatoes. All excellent. Recommend.

Literally the best restaurant I’ve ever been to on the Gold Coast. Oysters are simply amazing and the rack of lamb to share! So tender and well cooked with AMAZING potatoes. Oh and the cocktails! Plus incredible service staff!

Was recommended to attend Ladybird by friend. Dined in for lunch. Had a table inside looking straight out to the marina. Service was excellent. Food was AMAZING! The spring rolls are to die for. They were called rice paper rolls on the menu but the...staff called them spring rolls. What every they were called they were just delicious. The seared scallops as an entree were just tasty. For mains we had the sticky pork and the seafood spaghetti. Both dishes were exceptionally presented and just delicious. My only recommendation would be for the sparkling water to be placed in a bucket of ice To keep cool and to be offered cracked pepper when the meals arrive. This was just a wonderful lunch and as locals we will definitely be back!More
