Kai, Concierge, from Sheraton Mirage was able to get us a table in Ladybird during a difficult Covid related time on The Gold Coast. On short notice, the restaurant was able to find us a table for our family of 14 including pram and high...chair for which we say, big 'thank you'! Like I said, it was short notice and we were most grateful to be allocated a table albiet in the outdoor seating area of the restaurant and, with an impending thunderstorm looming on the horizon. Upon arrival we all noticed a long blonde-haired female staff member who had áttitude'. Unsure why, teenage granddaughters wearing their little Christmas Camilla dresses, all wearing shoes, no rubber thongs, no hats on heads - you get the picture? Seated, settled, drinks and meals ordered, entrees enjoyed and then the Heavens opened and it rained torrentially so, guess what? We all got wet, saturated to the skin. Water collected on the canvas canopy and ran down onto some of our party like a waterfall. Not great when wearing a Camilla eh? However, a thunderstorm is not the fault of management so most of us just sat there trying to shelter ourselves until the rain stopped. Four of our party left for the dry towels and hairdryers at our nearby hotel. Rain persisted so were then seated in another section of the outdoor area which had been vacated by another party of diners, much better. Our main meals were served and we enjoyed the rest of the evening with a most generous of spirit, kind, attentive and humorous French/Italian waitperson who through his own kindness brought towels for those who were truly drenched. Purpose of this review ..... when we were scrambling for cover, four of our party entered into the restaurant, one of whom heard the long blonde-haired female staff member say aloud "F___! Get ______ to look after them, I'm not going anywhere near that S___ F____"!! I guess there's one thing to be thankful for? She 's not a nurse! Purpose of our celebration that night, a dinner for my husband who had two weeks earlier been informed he is now cancer free. PS Eye fillet flavour was good and cooked to order, hot chips were crunchy with fluffy potato inside, views are relaxing watching water craft bobbing in the water at their moorings and people meandering around the marina walkways.More

One word, DELICIOUS!!!!! I don’t review very often but this restaurant calls for a great one. We dined at Ladybird on the Friday evening and it was so good we dined again on the Saturday. Everything from the location, the decor, the staff was all...lovely. BUT……the food was so so so good. Something as simple as broccolini turned into the best tasting vegetable we have ever had. I won’t go into detail regarding all that we ate other than to say this Asian inspired varied and bountiful menu was the best food I have to say we have ever had. I’ll be flying back to the Gold Coast just to feast here again! Thank you Chefs 👍🏼More

Our group of 9 included 4 children. The restaurant was so attuned to the kids. Staff provided them with the menus first, made sure their drinks orders were taken early, provided them each with a puzzle and colouring book. The service for the adults was...equally fabulous, good advice on sharing options. Two wines were not available but we were offered better options at the lower price. Food was excellent especially the fish platter. We weren’t hurried despite there being plenty waiting outside.More

Great location, delicious food and fantastic service by Claudio and Apollo ( guys you are amazing!!!!!). We really enjoyed Cardamom gin , pork belly and roast duck. And I won’t even mention that -28 torched chocolate ganache is an absolute must, even if you think...that desert is not on the wish list . Thank you all who contributed to this experience 🤩More

First class experience. Friendly greeting and great waiter service. The food is superb. Loved the flavours, “red curry”, the best I’ve had, pork belly, fantastic. Do yourself a favour and go and enjoy!

Like the reviewer before us, we won't be back again either. The food was OK but nothing exceptional. The service was OK but only made memorable by the waiter wanting to chat every time he came to the table. But the experience was completely tarnished...by the extra charges:- 1. !0% surcharge for Saturday 2. The waiter rounding up his tip 3. 1.2% Visa surcharge Can't see this place surviving, even in its exceptional locationMore

This was not our first visit, but sadly on 16 Nov it was our last. !!! From the time we made the booking , even though we requested a early dinner, the young lady could not promise us a table we requested , even though...on all ou previous visits , it was not a problem! Service was poor, the tall slim staff member has spent time talking to the table next to us, constantly looking down on to the young ladies not well covered 'chest " The other person who was serving was running 100 m/hr,, but he was in his own running world!! It was hard to get glasses refilled with water, our side order did not arrive till we nearly finished our food,, which was getting cold, we basically were not being attended to, ,and to get some attention, we tried few times to get their attention by waiving , or getting up to call the one over ,while the other one kept chatting to table next door, with one hand on railings and the other on his hipMore

Looking at reviews and location we were expecting so much more. The service was slow to start just to get first drinks. Food wise entree oysters were good, mains the curry was very good but unfortunately the salmon although ordered medium rare came out cold...in the middle. The waiter agreed and requested another for that was appreciated but unfortunately it took 30 min to replace and it was cooked correctly . Based on location back of Versace and over looking the Broadwater we were expecting a more quiet low key and a romantic atmosphere instead we thought we were in an RSL or a karaoke bar. Live music a guy playing Queen,Kenny Rogers, Neil Diamond and so many more greats of the 70, 80’s with some staff singing at the top of their voices of which again left confused of what the theme of this restaurant is meant to be. If this is what you are after then go for it but I don’t think we will return.More
