One of my favourite Restaurants but unfortunately when we booked no -one told us the Aircon was not working, It was such a hot night and humidity insane with 2 fans, just doesn't cut it. When we asked they refused to acknowledge it but finally...did say it wasn't working , after 40mins with 1 drink we left . We will not be back until Winter or fixed. So disappointing they just couldn't say at the beginning my mum is 80yrs old and it was ridiculous. This is appalling at a top restaurants like this. Thank God for Omeros !!! Everyone was complaining.More

Dined here on 12 January for a 7.30pm dinner slot. Arrived straight on time and was moved to an inside table as it was raining which was appreciated. However the good service stopped there. We waited 20 minutes before anyone came to ask us for...a drink. We didn’t even have a glass of water. We watched as waiters frantically rushed past us but no one thought to stop and ask us what we would like. Finally our waiter came and we ordered everything as we were concerned that ordering drinks only would mean another long wait before we could order food. We finally received a couple of entree plates we had ordered to share and our drinks at the 45 minute mark. At that point, 4 of the 5 drinks came and we had to wait another 5 minutes for the last drink. I found this pretty poor but it got worse. It got to the 1 hour and 20 minute mark and there were no sign of our mains. When I asked the waitress, the excuse was that some of the steaks ordered were medium to well which was the reason for the delay. But does it take an hour to cook a steak after we (finally) ordered them? I then went to the front desk to speak to the manager. She was rude and combatative. I explained the above facts and that it was incredibly poor to be waiting to eat your main meal nearly 1.5 hours later!!!! She kept saying how she had accommodated me by moving me inside, which I acknowledged I was grateful for, but there was no accountability or apology. She kept saying how busy they were and how they had to deal with the impact of the rain. But when you are paying top dollar, that is not acceptable. Don’t take bookings if you can’t service your diners appropriately (I have never waited so long in any other fine dining restaurant in recent times) and warn your diners of the delay. She also referred to when we ordered for the delay and I pointed out that this was due to no one coming to take our orders. Instead of apologising, she said I will have to speak to my waiters about this. I went back to the table and the mains had arrived close to 1 and half hours after we arrived. I said to my husband, I have never ever met such a manager who just did not care about our poor experience and did nothing to try and turn around the experience. The food was good but totally not worth waiting for nor the experience. We were asked if we would like desert and we decided to forgo it as I did not want to have another long wait for it. Incredibly disappointing experience for me.More

A Waterfront restaurant that serves beautiful food. 4 of us selected off the set 3 course lunch menu, which was great value and fabulous food with decent choices. I would go as far to say, probably the best barramundi dish I've been served, and served...hot, hot. Staff pleasant and attentive. It's definitely a top restaurantMore

Excellent food, excellent service and very reasonably priced. We chose the set menu 3 course and it was very tasty with generous servings. Best value lunch I've had in some time.

Have dined here before and had some great meals, our lunch at the weekend was a little disappointing. Service was friendly but a little slow at times. The burrata was good. The salmon sashimi was tasty but didn’t go with the semi dried tomato tapenade,...would have preferred just some wasabi. Again the pate itself was nice but some of the accompaniments didn’t work and for $28 only 2 crostini it a little tight. Most annoyingly they know it’s not enough as the waiter asks if you want more when you order it. With so many great places to eat on the Gold Coast I doubt we’ll return.More

Read all the positive reviews and the hotel we were staying at recommended this restaurant on their website so was very disappointed with some of the food we were served on our first visit here. The staff were very nice particularly Andreana from Lithuania and...I felt bad sending back not one but three meals - something I have never done before. We had a lovely seat by a window looking over the pretty lights and boats on the marina. The wine list was good and we ordered a bottle of Shiraz - Henschke Five Shillings $80 bottle or $17 by the glass. It was very nice. I asked one waiter, a fellow from Spain, if the fillet steak described on the menu only as Angus fillet was eye fillet, because I wanted to make sure it was tender. He wasn’t familiar enough with the differences in the cuts of meat, so we asked another lady, she was the one in charge and she confirmed it was eye fillet. Firstly the entrees we ordered were calamari and duck liver pate. I was excited for the pate because not many restaurants serve it anymore. I was a bit disconcerted when our waitress asked if we wanted extra crostini (very thin toasted baguette slice) with it for $5 more because there was only two pieces of toast with the dish and to be honest there’s never enough bread/toast/biscuits ever with pate or cheeseboards but at $28 two pieces to serve with a reasonably thick slice of pate is quite frankly just ridiculous. Why get your patrons offside straight away? I’m pretty sure most people don’t just eat pate on it’s own so either adjust the portion or add more toast to start or here’s an idea provide welcoming service and give them extra tiny bits of dried bread for free!! Our waitress did agree with us and was sympathetic but obviously nothing she could do, and we were on holidays so I said, live a little, we will have the extra toast. So now $33 for this slice of pate. Both entrees were delicious. Our mains came out, my husband had red emperor fish and I had the steak. His fish was good and unfortunately my steak was very tough. I made one cut with my steak knife and rather than slicing through like butter it was difficult to cut. I had ordered it medium rare so it should have been very tender. They took it back and the kitchen agreed it was not up to scratch but said all the steak was the same so I ordered something else. I looked at the menu and chose mushroom pappardelle. My husband had finished by now, but I was determined to enjoy myself and remained in good spirits. My pasta came out and unfortunately it tasted bad like off sour cream. I only had one mouthful and there was no way I could eat it. I sent that back and I was beginning to feel like a whinger and a bit embarrassed but the staff were very good and apologetic. So there was nothing else I wanted from the mains so I ordered a dessert - Panna cotta with strawberry ice cream. And you guessed it, I sent that back too. The Panna cotta had the texture of glue. We make this at home with cream and gelatine sheets and the texture is silky, but this was chalky and thick. Also the sides we ordered were very lacking. Greek salad,$12, with white blocks of something absolutely tasteless but not feta cheese - when I asked our waitress she said patrons had complained that feta cheese was too salty with the olives in the salad. I couldn’t believe it. Don’t call it a Greek salad with feta in it like their website menu advertises, in fact don’t call it a Greek salad at all. And the chips, $14, so incredibly salty we were shaking them. You can always add salt but it’s very difficult to remove it. Anyway I’m sure this is very unusual but this was our experience and we still paid over $200 for a very memorable meal for all the wrong reasonsMore

It’s not bad. The entrees were fine. The service was attentive (maybe a little too much when one persons plate is cleared before the other is finished). The main course barramundi didn’t taste fresh or was it the way it was cooked. It just didn’t...fall apart as it should. Half the restaurant was freezing putting on their jackets as the doors were all opened to keep one table of guests happy. Needs some finesse.More

It would have been nice to be warned of an awards night taking over this fine dining restaurant and incredibly loud 80s music was unnecessary so early into the evening at 6pm as guests started dribbling in. Unfortunately, the meal we received was underwhelming. Too...thick a layer of fruit paste bedded the burrata. The calamari whilst tender was thickly crumbed like a corner fish and chipper. The zucchini flowers were tasteless but the most disappointing dish was the Moreton bay bugs. Grilled but tasteless. There was no seasoning used on the bug itself and the sauce it came with was bland and watered down. I’ve been here in the past and had looked forward to enjoying this dining experience again but it seems to have turned into a function centre which lacks any of the class, style or taste of the past.More

My teenage son wore a hat whenever we sat outdoors by the water. The outdoor seating area is well shaded so there isn't a need to wear a hat.
