Had a recent meal with a group of family and friends for lunch. Food was excellent, drinks were cold and they even sent the kids food out first. Views were great and the staff were lovely. Will absolutely return.

The Southport Yacht Club has one of the best views on the Gold Coast. There's plenty of parking, so it's perfect to take elderly Mum for lunch. The staff are friendly and professional. The food is not exceptional, but good and reasonably priced. It's the...drinks that send the bill into overdraft . . .More
My Husband and i decided to go To Southport Yacht club for lunch Sat June 17th, he stood in line at the bar and while he was in line, he received an urgent call from his business partner. When it was his turn to be...served, he put his phone on his chest and asked for 2 drinks. Below is how the conversation went Barmaid replied “No, not until you get off your phone”. Husband put his phone on the bar “Now Can I get a drink?” Barmaid “Yes” Husband “Can I use my phone Now?” Barmaid “It’s up to you, but that was just rude”. This happened in front of 5 other gobsmacked customers, I was so disgusted when my husband came back to the table and told me this, I asked to see the manager. Turns out the rude barmaid was one of the Managers on duty as well. We left with our drinks sitting on table. The Duty manager we spoke to was very nice and also upset that her Co-worker had mistreated my husband. She advised us to email the General Manager Brett James and gave us his card, that was nearly a month ago and we have had no reply. What a shame as we are locals and regular visitors of this club. So, when do we as customers start taking signs around with us that state. “Respect Your Customers! We are here to buy your goods, not be abused”.More
Nothing short of disgraceful. I don’t expect a great deal from a yacht club in Southport but I certainly do not expect to be spoken to rudely by the matrie d’ or be addressed as ‘mate’ by him when I am dining with my children,...sister and her children . I would never set foot in this venue again and not recommend it. The management on the evening we were there for dinner was appalling.More
Every month the SYC hosts a special dinner for members' birthdays. We have attended several of these events but this month's was very disappointing. The set 3-course meal had an air of mass processing about it with some looking like they were store-bought or using...inferior produce. Meat was sinewy and fatty. If this is an indication of their regular menu, then my friends and I will be giving this Club a wide berth in future.More
I’ve been to Southport yacht club many times. I keep going back because it so relaxing and catches all the sun with fabulous outlook. My visit last weekend was just another bad meal. The Wagyu Burger is without doubt the worst I have had. I...wonder if it is even Wagyu beef. Thin and rubbery and drenched with fat. Fool me, because I was so hungry ate some of it and paid the price later. But even more shocking, ordered 2 glasses of Champagne. The part bottle was “flat” and the bar manager refused twice to open a fresh bottle. The Champagne is over $20 a glass . DISGUSTING!!! Living on its Laurels, that club.More
Hi, the Club is sorry for your negative experience. At the end of the night, we will not open up a fresh bottle for a glass of champagne and you were informed of this, you ordered it knowing well that it was the end of...More

Whilst not members of SYC, over the past years we have been guests of friends. Our special occasion lunch was magnificent. Excellent service from Nik, nice timing and beautifully presented food at reasonable prices. We’ll be telling our friends and definitely be back!
We visited here for dinner as a very short stroll from where we were staying. Food was good, service good, the view especially at sundown amazing you can’t beat it!
Fabulous club, good parking, beautiful dining room and bar. Magnificent outlook right on the Broadwater, boats and lights. Real ambiance. Superb Food, Good Menu choices, Good portions, all our meals were so tasty, comfortable seating. Staff Friendly Professional welcoming and efficient. Our first choice of...a place to dine.More
We called into the Southport Yacht Club for lunch during the holiday season after being disappointed about another option in Surfers Paradise. We didnt even know if we would be allowed to dine as its a club but we were treated well despite not having...a reservation. The view was lovely and the atmosphere casual. We ordered a salad for my wife and I had a prawn and rise risotto which was very nice. The drinks were well priced and we had an enjoyable experience. We will go again.More
We’ve always liked coming here when we visit Gold Coast, after reading some of the negative reviews I was hesitant but I’m glad we chose to eat here again. Yes the tiger prawn entre is tiny, it’s 3 prawns on some smashed avocado with 9...salmon eggs/caviar and micro herbs but hey it’s an entre. I had the lemongrass chicken salad which has been the best tasting salad I have had in the last 3 days, so tasty that I’ve taken the left overs home. My daughter had the kids chicken rice which she likes and ate a lot of, she didn’t like the lemongrass and ginger in it found it overpowering for a child but omg for me it tasted awesome. Fish n chips from the casual menu was fresh and the prices we think were relevant. Only suggestion would be you could have had cocktail specials throughout midweek instead of $20 each. The cloudy bay sav Blanc was $65 which was better priced in comparison to other places charging $80 for the bottle. We’ve always liked this place and will be back again.More
The food. It’s fine. Great location . You don’t come here for the food. We had breakfast - bacon eggs etc was cold to luke warm - avocado smash is really good, sides of bacon, mushrooms, hash browns both great both 9 out of 10...- coffee great - great staff and service . Will I go back? Of course. I just loved being surprised how you can stuff up food. No seriously I don’t go here for the food. Saturday or Sunday breakfast getaway with a bubbles it’s fun, regardless of the food and afternoon drinks watch the surf it’s fun.More
The venue has million dollar views, better than we have seen anywhere in the world. The food is very disappointing, on a 2star rating. This could be from lack of experienced staff or bad management. Regardless, the prices should reflect this. Our large group experience...bad meals, except the people that ordered lamb. Unfortunately, at a yacht club you would expect the seafood dishes to be the mail event. This club will always be popular with locals and members because of the position, but I doubt many will bother returning for the food.More
Amazing sunsets, a lot of care is taken into the quality of our meals. Oysters mignonette were first class beautiful pacific oysters with finger limes were amazing, as were the calamari, next is mussels and weekly parmi (hubby). Flawless menu and beautiful sunset works a...treat! Well done all round!More
