I had dinner here and Ernst the waiter was fantastic in helping me decide between the veal scallopine and the seafood linguine. He was good to check with me whether I wanted the glass of wine I ordered at the same time when I already had a cocktail on the table. I heard Ernst also explain the menu to the people next to me. The menu was useful in also recommending wines with certain dishes. I was happy with my meal. When someone dropped a plate elsewhere in the restaurant the staff were very discreet in attending and cleaning up. The restaurant was very busy on a Thursday night so reservations are highly recommended. Cucino Vivo had great ambience.

We had dinner here, it was my second time as I’d been here in 2021. It was very nice food in a very nice environment. We started with the mushroom arancini balls, we had for mains a vegetarian pizza and eggplant parmigiana. The food was nice and authentic. Wood oven cooked pizza with a nice thin base. The zucchini and eggplant soft and in a rich sauce. Just yummy. The only thing g is the service could improve. It’s wasn’t terrible but often slow and considering we were the 6pm sitting with a half full area I would have expected better, especially at the star. We had a nice meal, it was reasonably priced. I had a cocktail and it was just over $100. I would have given 5/5 if the service had been more attentive.

I was very disappointed I could not get my 30% off for platinum membership not only could i not get the discount i couldn't even collect my points. At the very least the member who is platinum should have 30% off their meal. The staff were unhelpful. The star website still says i should get 30% off. I won't be a return customer.

3 meals lobster, steak and pizza $75 for lobster, no more than 12 mouthfuls of lobster, slid where salad and pita bread. Still hungry very disappointed. Steak $58, cold!! Very tasty and tender, sent back, microwaved meat and sides still cold. Pizza ok but cold. $240 cost for a 3 person meal, the serving staff where amazing. So well spoken and happy to help. Management did not care for feedback or offer anything but a $50 voucher for the next day. We could not afford attempting another meal of this calibre. It was a special occasion that was ruined by the lack of care for their menu and presentation, over inflated prices and lack of respect for their patrons.

Worst carbonara I have ever eaten. It was inedible. We actually asked for the bill and clearly the hostess saw our plates hardly touched. Without any enquiries she presented the bill knowing a question would lead to a deluge of dissatisfaction. No need to waste time or effort on this poorly prepared cuisine

My wife and I have been here three times now, and each time we come away disappointed. One trick is to be given two water choices, either still or sparkling. Just ask for tap water or you will pay for the still. Pizza"s are boring and tasteless, and the online menu prices are not the same as those presented to you at the restaurant. We had decided to give it one more visit, but that will be our last. Service is good, but every meal we have had on our visits have been lacklustre. Two stars!

A very casual restaurant wanting to be 5 star, this restaurant is definitely missing the star factor. The girl on the front thought she was quite special and full of her self and the waitress was nice but missed that high end service. The food was very bland and mostly salty and oily. Something I would expect at the local pub. For $170 for 1 person included starters, steak and drinks. Certainly not worth the money or the time!

I was a guest in Cucina Viva with my wife and two friends to celebrate my 70th birthday but I am sorry to say our enjoyment of the admittedly excellent food and wine was rather marred by the attitude of staff. The meeter-and-greeter at the door was brusque to the point of rudeness but having been seated we had nothing more to do with her and so put it behind us, save to say that some additional courtesy training might be in order. Although she was completely unable to properly uncork a bottle of wine our waitress tried hard and our food was very good. We got through starters, mains and two bottles of wine and were looking forward to dessert, coffee and liqueurs but unfortunately this is where the whole night fell apart. In no uncertain terms, in fact in a rather surly tone, were were told that we had only 6 minutes of our allotted 90 minutes available and the only thing we would be getting was the bill. I made a protestation because I felt that to enforce the 90 minutes rule in a fairly empty restaurant just didn't make sense and we were going to spend more money not just take up space. There was no discussion to be had and the waitress simply brought the bill, told us other people that night were having birthdays and they left without complaint after 90 minutes. That was the end of the story for our waitress and to all intents and purposes she threw us out of the restaurant. There was a 90 minute time allotment mentioned at the time of booking and many restaurants do this but I have never before seen the rule enforced. The restaurant had many empty tables and there was no one waiting outside and I am therefore sure that our party could have been accommodated for an additional 30 minutes or so at our table or at least by being asked to move to another table if our actual table was really needed. Buyers therefore should beware; you can have a good feed at Cucina Vivo but only for 90 minutes so eat quickly and don't talk between courses!

Excellent, the girls were great and happy to engage and the food was bang on. I eat lots, and travel lots, and the bruschetta, with the Smokey bread and red, ripe tomatoes was awesome. The main, the Fussili Bolognaise, was, by no means, the best balanced acid to sweet ratio with deep meat flavours that I had eaten in years. If I wasn’t going to explode, I would have ordered another. Lovely.

Ate here last night (Sunday 13th) for my birthday with my wife. Have been here before and was very happy, so we were excited to come back. But oh my, how very disappointing!! To only have 90 minutes to eat when the restaurant isn’t even full is such a terrible thing to do to your customers. It’s expensive. Sure, the food is good. But to have to eat quickly and be rushed out at those prices is not good for your customers. Ernst was our waiter. Not very nice and was rushing us and everyone else around us. The chair I sat in was so old I sunk into it. Very uncomfortable. There was no atmosphere at all. Music I think was on but couldn’t here it. Pretty much the whole experience completely sucked. Both my wife and I were not at all happy and I’m seeing a lot of similar reviews from others…so it is definitely NOT just us. You people need to do something about this. I mean, do you even want customers? A rushed, quiet, awkward dining experience is just not on. Very unhappy customers here!!!!

Can’t complain about our waitress or our wait for food, however the food certainly wasn’t worth the wait, or price. Tasteless marinara pasta and the veal scallopini sauce tasted like a Maggi packet gravy!! Very unappealing and very un-Italian!

It’s a busy restaurant with great vibes, food is great and service is attentive. We arrived on time and was lead to our table. We were given the menu and decided to order some natural oysters, a pizza, a side, and 2 cocktails as we weren’t so hungry. Everything was fantastic, fresh oysters, delicious pizza and broccolini cooked just right, and the cocktails were so delicious too! We also ordered the chocolate dessert and it was so gorgeous, we get to pour the chocolate to melt the dome and reveal the ice cream inside!

I have tried many pizzas from Italian restaurant's here & overseas, frozen pizzas as well as Dominos & the rest of the chains. But every pizza I have had, even the poor dried out ones to the over cooked, have not been as boring, with short changed toppings as what was put in front of us at Cucino Vivo Star Casino. My wife & myself decided to order a main meal each, & for an entrée we thought we’d get a pizza to share. The pizza came out with a thick dry crust. The base was covered in the centre only about an area of a drink coaster with minimal shaved meat & shaved cheese & smothered with rocket. When you brushed off the rocket it exposed this poor pizza. As you can imagine from the crust edge to the centre, it had nothing. When you picked up a slice, the topping to the front slid off leaving a slice of dry dough. We were asked if we would like another one, but due to being the worst pizza ever placed in front of me, I declined & asked for the drink bill & we walked out.

Never been more disappointed to pay extra for a gluten free pizza in my life! So so disappointing. Ordered the Gamberetto prawn pizza ($34 total with GF base) was so tiny compared to my sisters regular base pizza, the base was so so flat, it looked like a kids pizza, and I truly felt very ripped off. The waiter even commented on the size of the pizza when putting it down apologizing about the size difference compared to my sisters. I smiled and said it was ok so as not to make a fuss at the table. I now regret not saying anything, complaining about it or taking a photo because it was really unacceptable. I am very used to GF options and the fact they will be different than the regular menu item but this was just very very unjust. There is some really amazing gluten free bases available if restaurants take the time to source or create them. Will definitely stick to Balboa Italian in palm beach for their amazing GF pizzas.

Went to dinner here and was thoroughly disappointed. Service was not welcoming, food was cold and meals overpriced. I have been to my fair share of Italian restaurants and this one of the worse. The atmosphere was not there and it felt like we were so rushed to sit down, order and leave. I will not be back .
