The best food I’ve ever eaten!

This beautiful restaurant, wow! We have not had food that tastes this good in a very long time. The service is outstanding as was the meals. Great garlic bread. The oysters were so fresh and delicious.The steak was a good size and you could have cut through it with a butter knife, it was that tender. The chicken breast was amazing. To top it off the pricing was great, not too expensive for the portions that were served. I would have to say... George has a beautiful restaurant with great staff and fabulous food.

Excellent Service, Excellent Food

There are alot of restaurants that serve good food however good, professional service is something that is hard to find anymore. At Georges our food was excellent complemented by the kind of professional service that, even though the restaurant was very busy, made you feel you had a personal waiter. Congratulations to all the staff. We can't wait to go back next time we're in Broadbeach.

Nice food

We tried to eat here one night, but no room, so decided to book for the next night. It was much quieter on the night we went, nice greeting and given a choice of tables inside or out. Extensive menu, drinks brought promptly. We shared an entrée - scallops beautifully cooked, and then, it was a while for our mains to come. Meals were nice but we were pretty well neglected after our mains came. We had to attract the waiter to get 2nd drinks and we were left for ages, after finishing our mains, to have plates cleared and questioned about dessert. We had read the reviews here of the great service, no so apparent for us on this visit. It was a pleasant night, not a great one.

Over Rated and Appalling Customer Service

Visited with family on the last night of our trip. The reviews were great, but don't waste your time. We had a 6:30pm booking, our food didn't arrive until after 8pm with several tables arriving after our group and finished eating before our meals arrived. The manager didn't have the decency to discuss the issues, instead sending out our waiter to apologise and resolve our concerns. Food was OK, but it's completely over rated and the manager is gutless.

Last night on the GC

Last night in Broadbeach, we had eaten at all our favourites so fancied some steak n fish, a bit more traditional. Saw George’s, looked like it fitted the bill. Booked early, 5:30. On arrival saw that all the diners were sitting outside, nobody inside. In normal times this is a standard restaurant marketing ploy to get passers by in as it looks like the restaurant is in high demand, but not now, it was 18 degs with a persistent cool SE wind, so we said we will eat inside thanks. Funnily enough I half expected the waitstaff kids, towing owners instructions, said only tables are outside: tables inside were booked weeks ago. Really? We said no thanks, (the kids didn’t seem prepared for that) took our business to the kebab shop next door, went back to our rather nice holiday pad and quaffed it down with a rather nice red.Thanks George to your rather inept staff you’ve saved us $250.

Dual Birthday Dinner

I have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions. I booked for five people on Friday night for my and my son's birthday. Everything about the night was fabulous. The staff make the atmosphere fantastic, funny, attentive, efficient and professional. We sat inside, it was cosy and warm. It was wonderfully noisy, happy, bright, and reminded me of life before COvid. The food is always exceptional, my favourite the chicken funghi. My son enjoyed the surf and turf, the others enjoyed their meals. This restaurant is always popular and great value, five meals, wine, beers, soft drinks, entree, must try the bruschetta, the best in Queensland, and no cakeage fee. All up just over 220.00, which is excellent. The happy staff make this the restaurant for locals and visitors. Thank you all.

Having seen this restaurant advertised in a website as BYO we took along a bottle but was told at the door it was not BYO. (I did show waiter the ad). However we were allowed to keep the bottle but I was not happy when we received the bill to see we had been charged $10 corkage for two of us despite the fact that we had also bought from them two small bottles of water for $20. On a large table in front of us a couple bought in two bottles which they did not declare but the waiter saw, made no comment and gave them glasses. Were they charged corkage I wonder. Food was okay…,oysters were very small but scallops were delicious. Whole sole was good but overcooked. Chocolate mousse was nothing special. Staff could not be faulted and were attentive though with the whole experience not too sure we would return.

Baaaammmm! What a restaurant!

Baaaammmm! What a restaurant! Freshness of food and flavours are just amazing. Seafood mixed platter are reasonably priced and tasted amazing! Display and staff are so friendly! Val served is and he always made sure we were happy. At times, food took awhile to come out as I suspected they only have a smaller griller.

Great food

Had dinner the other night, requested a dish cooked the way I like, was not a problem my char grilled octopus was sensational. My husband had the Sole and it was Devine. The young lady serving us was very efficient and the owner took the time to check in if we were happy. Would highly recommend for a nice meal without to much formality was just right.

Found this restaurant by walking past. We spoke to Chris, our waiter, as it turned out & he proved to be very helpful & informative regarding the menu. We both chose meals incl seafood & were very impressed. Well done Guy’s. Great Restaurant. Great Service. EXCELLENT FOOD. 5 Stars without hesitation.

Wonderful fine dining even at lunch time!

We were lucky to have noticed that this restaurant was one of the few open for lunch on a Monday. And luckier still that it was set with double linen tablecloths, fine glassware and cutlery: and to hell with COVID! But their covid-safe plan was rigorously applied even in the fine-dining we enjoyed. The service, as you'd expect, was smooth and professional. The trio of dips with the turkish bread (practically a meal in itself) utterly superb, such that I struggled with the next course of pasta with chicken. Slightly spicier than I'm used to but utterly delicious, as also my partner's garlic prawns. The house wine was a reasonably-priced $32.00, We opted to eat inside but al fresco is also available.

Avoid at all costs

Before I posted online I gave Georges the chance to respond to my complaint. No reply. As a family of 10 we ate at Georges on Friday night. The service was abysmal. We arrived just before 7pm and did not get our meals for over 1 and a half hours after ordering them. No communication. No apology and we chased it three times. When the good finally arrived it was lacking taste. Personally I had spaghetti marinara and there were no mussels in the shells and very little seafood for the price. The pasta was overcooked. There was little love taken in all the meals and overall very disappointing. Zero customer service and still waiting on an apology. My parents who are nearly 80 took us out as their treat and to be honest felt embarrassed for them. If you are short staffed simply turn bookings away but this just isn't good enough. It takes a moment to say sorry and make ammends but bad reputation can take a lifetime to fix.

Amazing food amazing service

Booked a table here as all the reviews where pretty good ! It was packed out ! Yes we did have to wait a while for our starters but it was well worth the wait and our waiter valerio ! What a star he was profession welcoming and made our little boy feel very welcome .... it was our friends birthday too and they bought tiramisu with a candle in and sang happy birthday !!! Was fantastic . The food absolutely gorgeous would definitely return and definitely recommend prawns chilli garlic starter ! Meaty prawns ! Steak succulent and Tasty ! Well presented and worth the price we paid . Not cheap but fantastic food and the waiter made it extra Special . So thank u !

A must restaurant visit in Broadbeach

What a great little find for our last lunch out on our holidays. Our waiter was an older guy but quirky and very attentive we ordered Oysters Kilpatrick and the calamari for entree to share both were absolutely beautiful we could have ordered 2 servings it was that yummy. For mains we had Veal Mushrooms and Eye Fillet steak Diane the veal was cooked to perfection and mushroom sauce and veggies amazing. The steak was also cooked to perfection and sauce and veggies also nice, we opted out from dessert as we were so full. Overall I would highly recommend anyone reading this to come here and try anything on the menu meals are substantial sizes and service is amazing, you will not be disappointed.
