The views from the window seats are stunning. Always a reliable and enjoyable experience. We were here three times during our stay at Broadbeach and my husband paid the subscription fee which gives members a few dollars off the food and drinks. The subs go to help the KSC lifesavers and the young grommets learning to be lifesavers. There is an extensive array of seafood, we kept having the Panko Prawns as we loved them and hubby had the garlic prawns as well as a side dish. There is an international style menu and a variety of wood fired pizzas. Chips come with everything but they’re flexible which is nice and I was able to have mash with my Panko Prawns.. We booked as they can be very busy but that’s easy enough.

We went on a Tuesday night which was exceptionally busy, but we ordered from the table and our meals arrived in about 20 minutes. Good menu, good selection of drinks, great service and fresh and delicious food. One of our meals was incorrect and the staff were very apologetic, brought the correct meal in a few minutes and checked back to see that everything was okay. We will definitely be back!

went to the surf club for a couple of drinks and some snacks and enjoyed our time at a balcony table overlooking the ocean. Service good, snacks good and atmosphere very good as a very peaceful outlook. One of the best surf club views of the water and games on the sand.
Became a member on the way out as minimal cost and can underestimate the value that this and other surf clubs offer to the community just in terms of water safety let alone discounted food and drinks with the venue.

The food is not good at all. We went there on a recommendation and at that time the menu available was only pizzas and starters which I didn't like at all: the pizza uses canned tomato sauce. The service is very poor, that is, the waiters do not make an effort to provide good service.

It sounds like you may have visited while we were running our snack menu, which we offer in between our lunch and dinner services which are from 11am-2:30pm and then 5pm-8:30pm. We also do offer all day dining with our full menu on the weekends if you choose to try our club again. We are disappointed to hear your experience fell short, as we pride ourselves on friendly and helpful service. Hose the location as right on the beach however their seafood offering was poor. What we did have was all deep fried and bland. Out of four of us only the meatballs were edible. Wait staff were inattentive and it seemed like and it seems like an imposition for us to ask for anything. Our plates also sat empty on our table for a long time and whilst staff were wiping down tables they failed to clear ours, so we ended up doing it ourselves. Toilets too were poor with overflowing rubbish bins and unclean facilities. Will not be back.

Full disclosure is that I am truly biased towards the Kurrawa Surf Club because we absolutely love it.
We do try all the other eating places in Broadbeach, but for us, nothing beats the surf club for the view, for the quality of the food, and for the amazingly friendly service. Without fail they are always friendly, and I haven't had an off day - any downsides can be the times when the bar is about 4 people deep and they may not have rostered on enough staff, but it's generally a short wait. I still can't figure out how they manage to deliver your food so fast when the place is packed but it isn't at the expense of the quality. Or maybe I just drifted off looking out the window at the view.
Other people love it too, which is why it is advisable to book if you are eating and want a window seat. Otherwise, a short wait with a drink will find a table open up somewhere. I find that two days ahead can usually score you a window seat to gaze admiringly at the golden sand, the azure sea, and the huge, HUGE expanse of blue, blue sky.
Our absolute favourite place to either eat or just sit looking out at the sea is the high table in the far corner, dont get your hopes up because the competition is fierce.
If you haven't been you are really missing out on something special. Travellers can get in at the desk, and locals can become members for a ridiculous small cost.

As with all Surf Clubs in Australia this club welcomes Members and Visitors alike. Purchasing a years membership for 5AUD entitles you to a discount on Food & Drink Purchases. Well worth joining however long your stay

First time there for us & we were extremely impressed from the start when the young man on the front desk suggested we pay $5 to join the club so we could enjoy great savings on our excellent food & beverages. Top tip! The building is very modern & it all works well. Food is well priced & fabulous. Huge crowd for a normal Sunday evening, so they must be doing everything right. Highly recommended.

Having never eaten at one of the many SLSC on the GC during our previous visits we thought we’d give Kurrawa SLSC a go and we weren’t disappointed.
We did have to book online 2 days prior which sort of gives away how great they are for not only the location but also the value for money.
The menu has something for everyone including Vegan options and all I’ll say is you won’t leave feeling hungry.
The staff were friendly & helpful and we’ll definitely make a return in the future.

Huge place but still able to show attention to detail. Make sure you join the club as food and drinks soooo much cheaper.
There was 11 of us, ordered drinks and food through their food app and came timely. Tasted good đź‘Ť.
Will visit again as being a member does actually make it a cheap place to eat out

Booked my nans 94th birthday at Kurrawa. The staff weren't aware of this until i arrived with a cake and candles, then requested if it could be put in the fridge until later. This was no issue at all for them.
Once we finished dinner, I asked to have the cake now and the Duty Manager on shift came over and asked about the birthday and her name. Then went the cake came out, he made a special announcement to the club and brought the cake out with the candles lit. Everyone gave a massive round of applause, then joined out family in signing Happy Birthday.
It was something so small but so special for my nan, she started to well up - which is unheard of for her! Very thank for for the caring staff and especially to the Duty Manager on shift, who went above and beyond for our family. I tried to find him when we left but couldn't, so i expressed my gratitude to some other staff - so i hope it got back to him!
Dinner was on Wednesday 17 April - 5:30pm (so hopefully you can find who was duty manager on shift then)

One of many surf clubs on the Gold Coast serving great meals. Kurrawa is our pick not only because it’s the local to where we live, but also because it’s great value for quality meals.
We visit regularly often for the specials of the month. This time we had meals from the regular menu.

What can I say but, ew brother. Ew.
How can you mess up a burger? Go here and you'll see.
I've heard of "deconstructed' gastrofood. But this was reverted to its liquids and solids.
The bottom bun was soaked in the liquid form the coleslaw and could have been drunk with a straw. Seriously.
12hr cooked brisket? Then sat for 10hrs. Cold and regrettable.
Very disappointing. I was hungry when I ordered and hungry when I left.
$28 for a pile of wet cold mush

Love Kurrawa surf club.
The pizzas are definitely worth having both savoury and sweet, as well the rest of the menu.
The table staff are extremely helpful, some of the bar staff could use a bit of improvement.
I was waiting to be served when the staff member just left me standing there, then reappeared when there was an attractive looking man standing next to me and proceeded to ask him what he would like, luckily he was a gentlemen and said I had been waiting.

Had a birthday voucher so made use of it. Have been to many surf clubs for a meal in my time and this one is very average. I chose the combination stir-fry, no flavour, hardly any vegetables and I could have cooked it better at home, and I don't cook. No one came to check on our meals and no real science, just a feeding station
