we were walking past on saturday night and the smell from the resturant was wonderful. unfortunaly they couldnt seat us straight away, so the manager took our number and after a lovey walk we seated 40 minutes later.
the staff were friendly and helpful. the beatuuful manager was the best, she matched our wine perfectly to each course and surprisinly my husband who is normally just a beer man commented that for once he really enjoyed drinking wine with his dinner.
after two hours if eating, drinking and laughing we settled what we thought was a very reasonble bill. the husband even tipped $20 (to much wine i think)...
the food was artistic and pleased not just the mouth but the eyes as well.
the staff made the night with thier service and attention they gave us.
thank you very much to the manager for fitting us in and treating us special.. A+++

The combination of decor, music, service and quality of food made for a very pleasant experience.
We started with the Beef Tataki, where the beef was grisly and tough to eat. This was a disappointment since the beef in this dish should be a quality which melts in the palate. Then the King Prawns, which were excellent, with a great taste and preparation. Finally, the fried duck, where the duck was overcooked and dry to the palate, but where the sauce and condiments were outstanding.
Consequently, a mixed review on the food.
The Service was excellent, very attentive, with the dishes arriving in the correct order, and spaced.
The decor is very pleasant, but we could not help but notice the finish out at the bar remains incomplete, where the spacings of the slabs at the side and floor remain open and unfinished.
We would highly recommend this restaurant, where the issues we experienced can be easily rectified, which would lead to a 5 star rating.

As a party of mostly vegetarian and vegans, we had plenty of delicious options available. One non veggie friend had seafood dishes and was very impressed with the innovative combination of flavours.
On this occasion, we did eat later in the afternoon and there were less wait staff and the chefs were prepping for the evening, so we did encounter a longer than usual wait for some dishes. However, the young lady who served us did an excellent job coping with many tables and the superb food was worth the wait.
There is a good selection of cocktails available.
We loved the vibe of Maggie Choo's, but the louder music during lunch may not be to everyone's taste.
We are looking forward to our next visit to our favourite GC restaurant.

The five of us arrived at the restaurant at 8.30 for a drink for our friends birthday. We had ordered, ate and cleared our desserts while still waiting another 20 minutes for drinks, our kind waiter came to the table and told us he had asked where our drinks were. At 9.15 we still had no drinks and decided to leave. We were still charged for the desserts and provided no explanation as to where the drinks were. The manager was talking to our waiter at the register and kept her back towards us the entire time. No apology or consolation.
Overall we understand drinks may take a while, but the actions taken we were beyond unimpressed by.

I found the service to be pretty below average, definitely felt rushed to order drinks and food. When the food arrived the order was wrong and I found the food pretty disappointing, felt like something I could get at any Asian themed restaurant. I found the entire menu is overpriced the I thought the cocktail list would be bigger considering the write ups I’d read about this restaurant. Personally I prefer other Asian restaurants on the Gold Coast, I was not fond of the decor of the restaurant either. We were seated outside on what looked felt and sounded like Uber cheap less than Kmart quality tables and chairs.

Utterly terrible service from staff who would rather earn money on Jobkeeper. Cocktails were great but expensive. Food was average and expensive. Contrary to the asian theme there were no asian staff (cultural misappropriation?)
We booked online for 3 people. However upon arrival saw it was high set stools on a high set table. As I had just had a total knee replacement there was no way I was sitting on a stool. We were told the only option was a table for 2 at the front. We took it because there was no other option.
When I asked when a table for 3 might be available, the girl wearing the Gucci belt at the entrance informed me that everyone that night was double booked. From there we had to chase staff for drink orders, food arrived hodge podge and when tables for 3 became available we couldn’t find staff to ask if we could move. The final straw was the 25 mins we waited for the dessert menu only for the waitress to come back and tell us “she FORGOT but it didn’t matter because management had told her we had to leave because they needed the table for another booking” (yet there were free tables around us and at no time were we informed we were on a time limit).
Honestly do not bother. Plenty of other more worthy restaurants on the GC!

Visited Maggie Choos with a few girlfriends on the weekend and we were expecting great things by all the hype it’s been given. Let me tell you, it’s totally overrated! Food was mediocre and very small portions (considering the money that you pay). It was brought out at all different times, which can sometimes be perfectly acceptable, but with such small portions it made it difficult for everyone to really enjoy the meal. We were given our ‘sides’ with 10 minutes left of our booking and right on the time our booking ended our table was cleared of our plates, even with some food left on them. Everything just felt very disorganised and the wait staff looked stressed and tense. It created a very frantic vibe and it definitely didn’t turn out to be the relaxing dinner with friends we were expecting! We were excited to try Maggie Choo’s but we won’t be going back. There are some amazing Asian fusion restaurants on the GC and your time and money would be much better spent at those restaurants!

After spending 2 weeks in Broadbeach eating at various restaurants, this place equals all other eateries in the area quality wise however let you down with their service. We took advantage of their $65pp banquet (maggie luxe) and were assured the platters were to be served one at a time. We ordered at 7.30pm and were finished by 8.30pm. The dishes and platters all came out at once that it they didn't fit on our table and the waitresses were taking away dishes that were only half eaten. It just appeared we were heavily rushed as they wanted us out by 9pm to avoid paying staff overtime. Very disappointing

The restaurant was beautifully decorated but the acoustics were terrible! It was so loud that we had to move tables and still after moving it was still SO loud.
We waited forever for our “starters” (nearly 40 mins) and actually had to try to wave a waitress down to see how far away our food was. The Korean BBQ ribs were nothing special and there was far more lettuce than ribs! We actually couldn’t wait to get the bill to get out of there. No follow up service after meals were set down… very very disappointing.

Maggie Choo is overpriced with poor service.
On arrival we were immediately shown to our table for 4 and waited 20 minutes for drinks service.
This set the tone for the evening as all up it was 35 minutes from time of arrival to receiving our drinks.
Main courses were vastly overpriced at circa $35 to $45 and the food while superbly presented it was bland and poor quality.
Broadbeach offers much better alternatives and this restaurant is clearly aimed at cashed up tourists .

I took my wife here for our 40th anniversary. We were greeted by friendly attentive staff and asked if we'd been there before. We answered no so the waiter mentioned it was mainly share dishes which suited us fine because we share everything. From the first dish of Kingfish Sashimi, I knew this place was special. Although the sauce was a little sweet, the fish melted in our mouths. The Scallop Sashimi and Tuna Sashimi were equally as good. The problem with all three dishes was there was an odd number of pieces. Seven Kingfish, seven scallops and 5 Tuna. This was a little odd considering these were share plates. Not a big issue but something that can be easily fixed. The following dishes of Sashimi Tacos and Crying Tiger Beef Tacos were awesome. We followed these with a number of small plates all tasting superb leading to a memorable meal for both of us. The Heathcote Shiraz was a bit expensive at $48 when it can be bought from their cellar door for $20 per bottle but it was an amazing experience. You won't be disappointed by this place.

This has to be one of the best places to eat in Broadbeach if you like spice. The food was super tasty, great presentation of the food and the waiters were very attentive. The decor in the restaurant was simply stunning and my friend and I will definitely be back.

The atmosphere was amazing and the food/drinks were great too. However, the food portions were very small. I ordered 3 dishes for 2 people, but we were barely full. It was almost as if we only had an entree. Would definitely recommend ordering more if you're hungry.
I booked on their website for 9:30PM and arrived a few minutes later as I was trying to find parking. I gave them a call around 9:28PM and they then told me that their kitchen closes at 9:45PM. If I had known that I would only have 15 minutes to decide and order, I would've chosen an earlier time.

It's only been open a week... and I've been here twice already! 🙂
From the greeting upon entry by the lovely (and attractive) manager Bianca, to the the food that was on point on both occasions, there was nothing I could fault from this new hip establishment.
The ambience felt great, with a vibe that makes you just want to hang out there.
No fault of the guys at MC, but I wasn't a fan of one of the drinks I ordered... and after letting the staff know during a candid conversation at the table, they removed the drink from the bill without even being asked!
Highly recommend MC... for either lunch or dinner!
Make sure you try the kingfish sashimi, papaya salad, lamb ribs, and wok tossed squid!

Service was average, food was so underwhelming. The Bug Roll tasted way too fishy to the point where we didn’t even eat the second one. The beef tacos were just bland nothing special. Overall for the price you pay for each dish we were extremely disappointed
