TOWER 28 CAFE, Broadbeach

Coffee good, position great but that’s it. It was busy but not packed & it took 40minutes for 1 bacon& egg Turkish roll which was rubbish, left most of it.

What a bad attitude!

I'm not one to ever write reviews but felt compelled to do so on this occasion. My family of 4 went to breakfast at Tower 28 and ordered extra bacon on one of the meals. When the meals arrived all meals had the exact same...rashers of bacon. I politely explained to a blonde waitress that I had ordered extra and it seemed it has been overlooked. She looked at the plates and relied "that one looks like it has more" I answered." They've all got three rashers that's why I'm a bit confused. Shouldn't one have more as we asked for an extra side of bacon and paid for more?" She walked off with nothing to say and returned swiftly, looked at me right in the eyes as she dumped the plate of extra bacon on the table and walked away again, saying absolutely nothing. I was so shocked at the response. Especially the very exaggerated and deliberate look she gave me. What a bad attitude.More

Stopped in for a coffee, again

Stopped in for a coffee, again the taste is burnt, the line was not long at 11am on a Tuesday so the order was taken quick and friendly, but to actually make the coffee with one person in front you would expect to be fast....The conversation with the customer in front of me and the barista felt like forever, then it’s my turn to pick up, nope conversation continued between the girl pressing the button on the coffee machine and the guy heating the milk. Seriously, when you waiting and you can see chatter with no action is frustrating. This place could be so much better with a bit of urgency, $5.50 for a large latte.More

Customer service!

Yesterday having walked a long way with my 4 year old granddaughter which turned out quite a hot day day! And after promising her an ice cram/ice block at the surf club cafe. Only to stand in the queue and having a look in the...freezer with the ice creams etc in next to the Counter only to find ever single one had melted even the ones at the bottom, some turned to just liquid. I then asked the young lady serving at the counter if they had any actual frozen ones and mentioned the whole freezer contents had melted, only to be told "sorry"! I would have thought actually going to mention it to a higher level would have been appropriate, but apparently not. Needless to say we went elsewhere! I cannot comment on the food.More

Great spot.....Perfect brunch

We stopped here for a coffee with a friend and her doggies, (dog friendly cafe is always a plus), for a coffee, on ordering the cashier offered the special, a ham, cheese and tomato toastie with the coffee for $7.90, (tasty and nicely presented), awesome...deal. Sitting next to the beach, undercover, watching the world go by was the perfect morning, we will definitely be back. We returned on a perfect sunny day, still friendly quick service, hardly anyone around, an hidden gem, "literally" as it is located under the surf club.More

i think if you keep the tables clean would be a great start to hygiene

acai bowl - the acai should not be a large lump of ice in a bowl - it is meant to be blended with fruit, juice or coconut water to an edible consistency. also the flintstone bowls you use - they dont sit flat on...the table not a good choice.More

Puppy Friendly 😍

All of the staff were so welcoming and helpful. It was relaxing to watch the water with my pooches from my table. The service was very quick, the breakfast was delicious and the coffee so good I had a second! They even sold treats for...my fur babies 😁 Perfect location so close to the beach, I’m coming back with a friend soon 👍More

Over priced, long awaiting for a cold meal. Terrible!!!

Terrible service, overly priced, 2 hours awaiting for a cold terrible sandwich. Stay away! Not going back even for a coffee.

Quick Snack and Coffee

This place is pretty cool, right on the beach front across from the volleyball nets, still sheltered from the wind. The most amazing Carmel slice!! Chai latte was amazing, not to hot as most normally are and some fries to warm us up. The pricing...is pretty avg for the area. I would go back, no questions askedMore

Coffee Weak and Insipid

Ordered double shot coffee. Lucky if it had 1/2 shot. Barrister needs training. All our coffees were the same.

When are the management of " The Kurrawa Surf Club" and the "Tower 28 Café" get the message that the "Tower 28 Cafe " is on the nose, lousy service, the quality of food and the time it takes to get a coffee leaves a bad taste, locals steer clear if they can, International visitors are at the mercy of the habit of "they will wait" is totally wrong, they will show their disappointment by telling the internet messaging "Don't go" . You need to fixed this glairing habit asap in the interest of the growth of the club and the club members, which I am one and have experienced it in real time which is the reason for my comments.
