My business partner and I occasionally go to Methven for lunch and religiously choose Primo Secundo ... Decor The cafe has an eclectic look with a wide range of retro artefacts throughout. The tables and chairs are a variety of styles but generally comfortable, and the environment is a relaxed easy going one. Service Maria and her team of young... More

Good coffee and baked goods. Quirky. Popular with locals and travellers. Cafe plus second hand wares combined business.

From a bewildering selection of fantastic looking good and a big menu I selected the eggs benedict. Simply terrific. Great friendly front of house and quaint, fascinating surroundings. I'll be back.

Cool little cafe with interesting things to look at and buy if you are in the mood. Tasty coffee and a good menu, even for vegetarians (which I am). I would recommend visiting this cafe if you are heading through Methven.

We had booked lunch for almost 40 people from our car club. Maria and her team did a fantastic job. It was obvious that they had really thought about how to feed such a large group in a timely manner. When we arrived large bowls of salad and platter of eggs and sun-dried tomatoes were already on the tables. The... More

I love having coffee in this quirky and cosy cafe and am always warmly welcomed by Maria and staff. Having previously lived in Methven it was nice to venture back recently as part of a skiing trip and squeeze in as many expertly-made Primo coffees as possible.

The go-to cafe in Methven if you want to chill and spend some time rather than a grab n run latte! As well as the endless shelves of vintage clothing, jewellery, ornaments, art and oddities (ALL for sale), there are piles of books to read, and of course always a newspaper. Great to visit alone or with friends, there's always... More

Not just an ordinary coffee cafe, styling is all different furniture, cups, etc. AND everything is for sale!! How funny is that! There's via the back door another room full of stuff for sale. Coffee is good, service seems sometimes bit slow, nice staff, lots of locals.

Great coffee! Maria's quirky stylings makes it fun and interesting. The recent changes for the interior makes it a very pleasant place for a bite to eat. A few more gluten free options and I would give Primo 5+. Great place for kids too. Will be back...often!
