Our friend came over from Canada and was staying the week. It was her last day so I decided to treat her to a nice meal. We chose the Whitestone Inn. Our first impression was this was great! And a few things were. She ordered Fish and Chips which actually looked really nice. Although when mine came, I was quite... More

I have been in the whitestone every sunday for a while now and i have to say their carvery is the best on the island! There is so much selection with the meats and vegetables which are scrumptious and it is amazing value for money The landlord and landlady are so friendly and accommodating and the staff are lovely and... Me and my partner have been wanting to come here for quite some time as loads of people say how great it is, so I got excited when we finally got chance to go, so we went for a Sunday lunch whilst my dad was over visiting, we booked a table and when we turned up we walked in like... More

Always good food whenever I go to eat there, milkshakes and cocktails are lovely! A pleasant place to go for a quiet drink.

Met friends here for a weekday lunch. The Whitestone wasn't busy, in fact it was quieter than we expected, the service was friendly and helpful and the food tasty and good. We had the queenies and the hunter chicken. Portion sizes were good and extra bread was brought on request without any hassle. A great lunch which we all enjoyed... More

Went for a mid week lunch as we have done before. I ordered the chicken curry with chips which was a bit disappointing. The curry portion itself was quite small taking up a small area on the plate. The chips were however plentyful and so was the portion of peas in the curry sauce. This is a cosy pub which... More

Had lunch there with my wife in June 2016. A pleasant, spacious establishment with a small beer garden at the rear, & ample parking. We both had the bacon & cheese burger with chips, £10 per head. Good portions, came in a reasonable time (about 20 minutes) & served by a friendly waitress. My only gripe was that the baps... More

Aching and tired from travelling we wanted somewhere with good pub grub and a decent pint.....was recommended by a fellow traveller and that was just what was served up. The Whitestone Inn is a nice setting with good food and friendly staff, great recommendation and so passing it on!

Fell across the Whitestone Inn on the way back to the airport from a business meeting. With a couple of hours to spare my colleague and I went in for a pint and the food looked so good we ended up having what turned out to be an excellent lunch.

Good location close to the airport with very friendly staff. Could probably do with a slight expansion of the menu to include more vegetarian options.
