I need to put this on Tripadvisor! We were warn by the weather bureau that Cyclone Cook is hitting New Zealand. Heavy rain was coming down in the Bay of Plenty on Wednesday. My disable father was with me as we traveled from Auckland to Tauranga. We decided to stop at Viva for a meal and to get off the... More

Mary, thank you very much! It was good for us to do this act of kindness to your father. Know that it is part of or values to care for our customers. I remember the incident and the joy it brought to the other customers. Some jokingly said to me afterwards "YOU REALLY CARE"! Need to say, I can not... More

Whilst the food was nice to average, I found the restaurant cramped and the cabinet difficult to access. The lady overcharges. If an item is on at $6.90 she charges $7. I have been there a few times as it was convenient, and the overcharging has happened every time. If that happens to everyone I feel that is dishonest. They... More

Really nice place with great hospitality and even better food. The children adored the potato-topped mince pies :-)

This seems to be a popular place as we only managed to get a table because somebody was leaving. Most patrons seemed to be locals. We had just stopped for a sandwich and a drink for a light lunch. The bread was really fresh and so were the ingredients so really good sandwiches. We didn't have any but the selection... More

Stumbled across this place on our travels. Obviously very popular with the locals as the place was buzzing. We enjoyed coffee, fruit tea and cake but all the food looked delicious and the staff were very pleasant. So glad I needed to use the toilet otherwise we may never have found this place.

Behind the town hall is a carpark and just a few shops. One has great crafts, and Cafe Vivo has great coffee, hot or iced. The chef is a lovely lady with a great smile and the staff are really helpful. The nibble are interesting including mini quiche dishes.

Since changing ownership this once great find in KatiKati for breakfast is not as it used to be. The coffee is OK but the food selection has become very cafeteria like, a lot of prepared food, pies quiches etc. The edge has gone.
