Took my wife there after a recommendation of a friend. Was immediately made to feel welcome by very friendly staff. The menu was quite extensive and varied and we were spoilt for choice, eventually settling for sea bass with potatoes bravas, chorizo and spinach, and...More

had lunch here with squeeze and friend on a weekday. Extensive menu and specials of the day. Had beef stroganoff with rice and salad, substantial serving and tasty. Service was pleasant, friendly and reasonably quick - it was fairly busy but not overly so.

The Hand and Crown doesn’t look especially inviting from the outside, but the welcome was OK. We chose the ‘catch of the day’ – one plaice and one haddock – both were large and tasted excellent. Service was good; inside the tables were close together,...More

I last visited this Pub about 40 yrs ago and it was GOOD, now happily it's even BETTER. Our Mains choices were excellent and the portions generous, that provoked us into thinking we should pass on the desserts, however on viewing the Menu we succumbed!!!...More

Stopped here on our way to Norfolk. Nice pub friendly staff and good food with really good sized portions. I had the ploughmans which was great lots to eat. If I lived near this place I would be going back

I would thoroughly recommend this pub. A great example of a traditional English pub, with great beers on tap. The bar staff were very friendly and ensured we had a great night. Lovely area outside the pub as well, first class!

We hesitate to go there now as the portions are so large it is a little offputting. You certainly do not need more than one course.
