On our second night, we were recommended this by a local and it was the perfect spot for 10 of us and for Northern Isaan food as well. The portions are big so don't over order like us!! I would recommend the fish, squid (approx...20 mins wait though), Issan sausages and obviously Som Tum with sticky rice. For deserts the snow ice is very Thai, very sweet and very delicious!More

Incredibly bad service. Problem of management, because many young person for service, but without attention to you, without professional attitude, they only watch tv on big screen to pass time. Meal so so, and even completely different from picture of menu, we do not finish....Have to pay a full lime to obtain a pice of lime in water soda. An music band for old old guys. So bad experience and lost money. Cannot understand the average good notation.More

The first thing to say is that the live music is far too loud to allow 'normal' conversation, so you either have to shout or give up ..... and the band aren't that good anyway. Regarding the food .. disappointing sums it up. Very average;...we were in a group of 6 people and everyone agreed, just OK. I had been travelling for 4 weeks and decided now was the time to have a steak .... big mistake. It was from a water buffalo that had died from old age or exhaustion and was about 5 years beyond its best-before date ... really terrible. If you want a good steak, head for Sizzler, in the Central Plaza, where they serve steak imported from Oz and is the real deal. I won't be hurrying back to The Home and suggest that you give it a miss.More

While living in Ubon we had friends visit from Bangkok in the fall of 2014. They asked us to find a nice restaurant where we could treat some mutual Thai friends. We mostly ate at simple, cheap restaurants, so we were at a loss where...to go and tried The Home. Our Thai friends were gracious, so I don't know if they enjoyed it, but we and our farang friends from BKK weren't impressed by the food.More

From start to finnish a very pleasant evening. Staff very attentive. A live band pleasing to the ear. Not to loud so our conversation could flow. The food was excellent. We sided on Seafood and we were not dissapointed. Crab curry was plentiful of white...crab meat. If i was going to be critical. Drinks were a bit pricey but the menu was ok for the type of establishment. Overall a very pleasant evening. Will be going back again definitelyMore

The Home is an enormous restaurant. The menu is extensive and runs to many pages, I really don't know why! There are far too many staff simply hanging around waiting for something to do. The food is average.
