A group of four of us visited this cafe one morning for a coffee and pastry. We had a good selection to choose from and even though they were very busy, our pastries and coffees arrived promptly. The frontage being completely open to the air meant that we were not closed in. An enjoyable spot

Arrived quite tired after a pleasant couple of hours drive from Taupo. Spotted this place at the end of the street and stuck lucky. Great relaxed atmosphere with laid back music. The savoury crepes were very good with a tarragon mustard and cream dip. Stop here and Enjoy half an hours rest on your journey.

We stumbled on this café while staying near. They serve great food and drinks and the staff are always welcoming. We have been every day for a week now at various times and they are always brilliant.

Great crepes pastries and coffee. What more do you need! The kiwi crepe has a real hit of lemon - delicious. You will need more than one crepe of course but at the price you can get a really good breakfast for a good price. Opens early.

I am unashamedly a fan of a breakfast pain au chocolat followed by an espresso. I hit the jackpot this morning when I discovered L'Epicerie on my travels. Pleasant service and welcoming ambience set the scene for a great morning before I continue on my travels. I can't wait to return!

I had the coffee; 9/10 and a savoury crepe with ham, goat's cheese, sun-dried tomato, bacon walnuts and honey. Just list all my favourite breakfast items and put them on a crepe! Service was good from the mainly French staff, but close my eyes and I was not on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées

The crepes and galettes are so delicious that after lunch at L'Epicerie on our arrival we went back for breakfast the next morning for more. My favourite is crepes coquine with bananas and salty caramel sauce, and don't forget the whipped cream. But the savoury galettes are also good. Good coffee too and all prepared and served with that french... More

We stopped off here on our way in between Mount Mauganui and Gisborne. Really nice baguette sandwiches and great coffee. Always a good sign when the staff and owners are from that country, in this case France. Definitely recommended as a good place for Brunch and coffee.

I am from France an was so excited to eat a galette as the last one was ages ago in France. The result was very disappointing. For 14 bucks for a salty crepe (complete ) you'd expect higher quality for the ingredients. Please at least put swiss cheese not the super salty tasty. And not super cheap ham for that... More
