I like to support local businesses and products but £29 for two glssses of Ridgeview Is way too much. Other, much finer, establishments in Brighton and Hove, are cheaper and offer a better experience. Such a shame. This place used to be quite good.More

Afternoon s3srg, My name is Alan and i'm the branch manager of La Cave a Fromage in Hove. It obviously upsets me that the service offered wasn't to my desired level. I have spoken with the team and the members of staff involved to gather...More

Had a fantastic fondue evening at the cave. Excellent service from Sam and team ensured that a return visit is an inevitability. Great work

Picked up some cheese on the way home on Saturday night as, after eating a starter and main course at a local pub, we fancied creating our own cheeseboard. Extremely friendly and helpful staff sold me some to-die-for goats cheese and blue cheese. The range...More

The Cave really has some fantastic examples of European cheeses ( maybe could have some more English /Irish on occasion ) and despite not being cheap you do get lovely cheese in terms of quality. I would also say that the staff are very knowledgeable...More

I'm very lucky living so close to this shop and "restaurant". (Can you call it a restaurant when it serves a fairly limited range of dishes - cheese and charcuterie? I don't think La Cave themselves do.) Although I mostly go in to buy cheese,...More

Four of us went on a Saturday night (glad we booked as there aren't many tables). It was a special occasion, so we 'pushed the boat out'. The food was very tasty, and the staff knowledgeable - they described every item in great detail. What...More

Went there last week for a cheese and sparkling wine taster treat. Absolutely loved it! 6 cheeses, all paired with a glass of bubbly. Very knowledgable host who clearly lives and sleeps cheese. Basket of bread, charcuterie board and terrific value at £40 a head....More

A fantastic little venue with a great selection of cheeses, wonderful wines and meats to complement them. All this was let down by unfriendly service by the gentleman mentioned above. Such a shame. If not for him, definitely a 5 star venue.More
