We had looked forward to eating here as some good reviews and we thought the fishermens co-operative restaurant had to be good for fish dishes. Regretfully we were in for a big disappointment. THE GOOD: Service and the recommended house wine from Famara. THE NOT SO GOOD: Grilled octopus starter was enough for two but was distinctly chewy and had... More

This restaurant is fantastic. It is not elegant, it is not fine dining, it does not have an extensive wine list, but serves the best fish I have ever tasted. The service is interesting, has been improved by hiring a young waitress to complement the two guys who have been there since the dawn of time. Cherne was the fish... More

We ate here twice, once just we had arrived and on our first walk around. We were made very welcome. Our Spanish was on a par with their English but this was not a problem. On our first visit 4 of us ate and we thoroughly enjoyed it. On our second visit we booked a table as there were now... More

Personally I come on holiday and love it when I find a tradional local restaurant which serves simple well cooked fish. This restaurant fits that bill perfectly. Don't expect fine dining or perfect service although our experience was fine. You may have to wait awhile as well. It's worth it. Do expect beautifully cooked fish. We had Cherne ( fish... More

We are fans of Canarian Cofradias, but this one had not been on our list, largely due to its early closing. However, we made it before it shut one afternoon recently. What we ate was as good as we have come to expect, but our choice was limited by several menu items having gone done (eg prawns). So we were... More

Somewhat off the tourist track, 4 of us bowled in for lunch without a reservation, and they produced 2 excellent paellas within 30 minutes. Slightly less salt and they would have been perfect, but perhaps that's being picky! Clearly very popular with locals and justifiably so.

We found this place by chance and we were really impressed. We had a set menu of bread, Canarian potatoes with mojo sauce, fresh tuna and blackcurrant cheesecake washed down with a glass of red wine. We were also given a shot at the end. Amazing food at an amazing price of €12.50 each.

Stopped here for lunch whilst walking in Playa Blanca. Opposite the ferry port, it's quite scenic and traditional, and is adjacent to the fish market. We were made welcome with our 19 month old son. I opted for the set menu of Canarian potatoes with Mojo followed by entrecôte with chips and veg (tinned veg wasn't great) - all tasty,... More

This is the fisherman's coop restaurant and features fresh fish extensively. The waiter will help if you are not sure. It is no fast food so be prepared for a little wait. Our food was very nice including seafood soup and fresh fish and the bill was most reasonable. So if you are fed up with chicken and chips or... More
