Cafe Mambo is a sunset pre-party bar and restaurant in San Antonio, Ibiza that holds events every single night of the summer. This legendary venue is turning 18 this year, and has been at the forefront of the music scene in Ibiza ever since it opened with artists from David Guetta to Bob Sinclair, from Brand New Heavies to Jamie Cullum.It is the place to be to enjoy the island’s most famous sunsets and parties, which have been enjoyed by the likes of Paris Hilton, Coleen Rooney, Andy Carroll and many more. Cafe Mambo values innovation, trendsetting and being at the heart of today’s young adults. Can’t recommend cafe mambos enough for breakfast! Great service, friendly staff and incredible views. The food is great and the cocktails are significantly cheaper.
However this all changes in the evening.
The service is not as personal and some of the staff were rude. There is a minimum spend and the food was below average. We paid £350 for four people for disappointing food, increased prices on drinks and subpar service.
Don’t fall into the trap of watching the sunset from within Mambos- save yourself a fortune and sit on the beach with your own beers!

Great food and service, easily spent the minimum amount for the area of seating we chose as well as the time allowed. Good vibes and Diego was great. No sunset for us but don’t hold cafe mambo personally responsible haha! Would recommend ☀️💫

Just had a fantastic weeks holiday in Ibiza and visited Mambo for a breakfast brunch before returning home.
I’ve visited Mambo before many times for drinks and food. The food and service are always great quality.
On this occasion I had Eggs Royale, a fruit juice and followed with a legendary Mambo strawberry daiquiri. Whilst chatting with my server, I mentioned that it was my birthday and was offered a complimentary glass of cava, which was such a nice touch!
Mambos is not cheap and cheerful, you are paying for a brand and a setting, but it is always worth a visit. If you can splurge on a sunset meal, go for it, if not just treat yourself to a cocktail or have breakfast or lunch. The service and quality is always the same -excellent. It’s always a great experience!

Third visit to Cafe Mambo and lucky enough to see #Fatboyslim DJing on Wednesday night.
Just such a shame that the management were so intent on making up for COVID losses, that they were making people leave at 10pm despite only having just got their food and 9:30. And we’re only half way through eating it. This was on most tables despite the size of table or the people on it
Seems they are putting money over customer service. The head waitress was extremely rude, despite the waitress being very nice and the manager over ruling her.
We spent in excess of €300 and still weren’t allowed to stay, this being more than I have spent on previous visits where have stayed all night.
Clearly they want the to get as many people who turn up on the night to be treated better than those of us who book and will ultimately spend more.
Such as shame this venue has gone so down hill.
Go at your own risk of having your night spoilt by the greedy management.

Dear customer,
We´re very sorry that your experience was not pleasant on this occasion. We always inform our customers that the time limit on the tables is 3 hours when they first arrive and we have 2 turns, one for the sunset and one at 10PM. Our guests who have a booking at 7PM are required to let us know in advance if they would wish to keep the table and depending on availability we could accommodate their request, but on that specific night we were indeed fully booked at 10PM so we could not offer a table unfortunately.
We hope to see you again and wish you a very happy week ahead!

Where do I start ! Ordered food, took 45 minutes to arrive and what should have been hot chicken pitta was tepid temperature at best. Adding to the salad that was mentioned on menu consisted of a huge amount of carrot and lettuce in the wrap. Usually salad is on the side of plate not stuffed in the pitta. On challenging the temperature of food and the the carrot situation the waitress said I could choose something else, that’s kind but I could not wait another 45 minutes due to needing to be back at hotel. She then stated it was my fault as I should have asked about the salad??? Firstly salad is generally to the side of the dish and secondary salad 99% of the time is lettuce, cucumber and lettuce. Not carrot and lettuce and there was so much carrot it was pretty much blended with the chicken with sauce and looked like carrot mush. I’ll add there were chips also, however I did not eat due to sending good back. Fast forward to the bill, we were charged 50% of my shawarma dish, on querying the waitress said it’s my fault, so I said ok, however had I known you were going to charge me 50% I would have at least eaten the chips. She then continued to argue it’s my fault??? Stunned to say the least! You serve hot food cold, make the chicken meal a carrot meal (this is being kind) and then want to charge me half even though I stated straight away it was inedible. Wait…. What? Has cafe mambo became so hyped on the sunset it’s ok to give low levels of customer service and then be argumentative to the point of embarrassment. Needless to say I did not give the argument the waitress was looking for… I did advise I would give a honest account and here it is. Sorry cafe mambo you are definitely not the hype.

Really poor from Cafe Mambo today. Arrive at 12:45 for food and was told lunch doesn’t start until 1pm. No problem. We sat down ordered drinks and one drink came 10 minutes before the other and at 12:59 we asked if we could order our lunch and was told, not yet. No problem. It got to 13:15 and we started seeing lunch meals being brought out. As soon as we saw people who had been seated after us getting their food, it was clear we had been forgotten about so we just asked for the bill. When the bill came, the person who was serving us said she couldn’t help it they were really busy, so I just said you had forgotten about us hadn’t you? Language barrier or ignorance got in the way then so we paid for our drinks and bread, and as we were walking out the waitress pointed towards Savannah and said they do good food in a slightly sarcastic tone. Disappointing service, without an apology.

Been visiting mambo every summer for the last 8 years. This sadly was the last time. The prices have increased to the point of insanity. 25 Euro for nachos and sauce. 21 Euro a drink. Used to be able to get a bottle or two, food and cocktails for the 150 Euro min spend but now they charge 250 Euro for a 15 Euro bottle of spirit. Food was poor quality, service poor and didn’t bring the birthday cake we requested. Left sober, waste of 500 Euro.

I was so shocked that to have a seat with a view it is minimum spend 100 euro pp! When I looked shocked the waitress said oh well don’t worry you will easily do that if you have food and drinks!!
Instead we opted for a drink-only table set further back in the bar, it cost 20 euro for 1 cocktail!
We noticed lots of people going down the steps next to cafe mambo with bags of shop bought drinks.
We finished our drinks, went to the small shop behind cafe mambo and spent I think 6 euro on 2 beers and a cider! We took them onto the rocky bit of beach and had a great view of the sunset! Wish we hadn’t even bothered with the cocktails. Not just cafe mambo but Ibiza in general cash in on the clubbers, it’s extortion!!

I really feel like I've been robbed! My husband had a birthday and it was just ruined as soon as we got there. The place looks completely different from what they show on Instagram, shabby and cheap, cheap plastic chairs - so is the menu, poor, shabby, food at a very, very low level. Add to that the crazy heat. We got there to see the DJ fatboyslim, we were told that the minimum per person is a crazy amount of 300 euros (150 euros per person). This is not the first time we pay such an amount and there is no problem, but not with such a menu and with a place that looks like that, the menu was simply extremely poor and cheap, we ate and drank by force, there was nothing to order. But the worst thing hear was about the DJ, as I explained, we came to see the DJ play, that's the only reason we came! Instead of enjoying the performance,in the most absurd way we were not allowed to photograph and see the performance. The security guards were extremely rude and asked us to move, pushing people who paid money to stay there. And a situation arose where we just sat there on the terrace, like we were in a prison, we were not allowed to see the performance or take pictures, and precisely people from the street who passed by without paying this crazy amount, were a huge part of the celebration, danced, took pictures and had fun - while we sat there waiting to reach the minimum and counted the minutes to leave. A shocking experience, indescribable insolence, I will never go back there and I will not recommend any of my friends to come.

DO NOT have food here. £100 minimum spend and every food order came out wrong or with a complaint! My starter came out wrong and my main was that bad I didn’t eat it, my friends Main came out with our starters and they left it to go cold while we waited over a hour for our mains. Not one of us out of a party of 4 liked one dish or finished any of the food provided. When we complained they happily took the food away but still charged us £100 for the food which we did not eat not offering any % off the bill or alternative. My friend has an allergy and the waiter would not get the chef for her to have a clear discussion and stated there was no allergy menu available. Disgusting service disgusting food will NOT be returning!!

Came with my sister for dinner and drinks. Delicious food and yummy drinks. Amazing view of the sunset throughout the evening and the atmosphere was brilliant, turned into a bit of a disco vibe once the sun had gone down. Great evening! Min. spend €80 which we initially wondered what we might have to buy to meet that but most items on the menu are €20-30 each so it didn’t take long. Well worth investing the money for a fun night here! Will return at some point

Where do I start?
Booked a table for 18, so our min bill was going to be 1186 euros.
Actual spend 1275 euros
Nightmare trying to sit as walkway was rammed with people trying to video the DJ, this wasn't too much of a problem and was expected.
Finally sat down ordered drinks which came out all over the place, waiters had no idea who's drinks were who's and frankly did not seam bothered.
Ordered food, which again when came out, was given to the wrong person.
Two starters never came out at all but still managed to appear on the bill.
I got my starter and was only halfway through when my main course appeared, yes they served mains and starters together.
3 of us ordered steak, and the only choice was tom hawk or Rump. My go to steak is fillet no idea why this is not served?
All 3 of us had rump, worst steak i have ever had in my life, none of us could eat it.
Taste less & chewy, the knife couldn't cut through it.
Every single one of the party was displeased and agreed the food was very poor at best.
Staff rushed off their feet, shoving plates down anywhere, not asking who had what, no customer care.
One girl who was serving us, said to us give me a big tip and I'll get you a glass of cava each for free.
Ordered a bottle of vodka at 200 euros and was meant to come with 12 mixers only received 9 asked for the other 3, which they tried to put on the bill as extra

We went with 20 family members last night (13 adults, 5 kids 2 babies ) we arrived at 10 pm which was a bad choice with children but min spend was £80 per person after 10pm , £150 before 10 pm. When we got there we had to wait around 10 mins whilst they removed people from their tables to prepare ours which was fine. When we sat down there was very little room we had 2 pushchairs which they kept asking us to move but was nowhere to move them too ( they were aware of this when we booked) The very rude waitress ( the rest of staff were lovely) came and rushed us to take our drinks, starters and mains orders. All of a sudden everything arrive together, drinks starters & mains.3 people had steak , 2 of them got sent back not eaten they all said it was the worst steak they had ever had. As our son had just proposed on the rocks before we sat down we asked our rude waitress if she could maybe give the couple a drink or a small dessert as a celebration her response was TIP ME then I will give them a glass of house cava we couldn’t believe she asked for a tip ( she didn’t get one) When we got the bill 2 starters that were ordered and didn’t arrive we’re on there. When questioned about this her response was you should have said( there wasn’t room for any more starters on the table as mains were there too. Totally gutted our night wasn’t as we wished but glad we didn’t pay double to go earlier.

10/10 would recommend - great food, great drinks and fantastic service - especially from Dylan who was very attentive to ensure we had the best night. With drink recommendations and his friendly and chatty character he was an added bonus to the already perfect set up.
The view & sunset was stunning and overall we had a really nice night and loved the music too.
Would 100% recommend for anyone to go, and we will definitely be back

We decided to come to cafe mambos during the day for brunch due to how busy it is at night. We were given a table straight away however we were told that to have a seat at the front, we would have to order food (the restaurant wasn’t busy) There wasn’t much choice for cocktails and they were very expensive however the breakfast was very nice, I decided to add hash browns because who doesn’t have them on a breakfast! Overall I feel like this places is somewhere you have to visit but be prepared for the high prices!
