We swung through here and missed the lunchtime serving so they offered to pack us a picnic. It was so perfect. 10 euro for meats, cheeses, fresh bread, veggies, cookies, drink, picnic blankets, and our choice of anywhere on the vineyard to enjoy our food....More

We've just returned from a dinner at this restaurant and are very dissapointed and angry. In a nutshell: it took them 2,5 hours to serve 2 courses. The main course (Steak) was cooked well done instead of medium. service was extremely poor. The long version:...More

The filet was absolutely superb here. The menus were not in English so we had to rely on the waitress to interpret, with broken English. The staff was extremely unorganized or needed more help, but very happy with the food. Try the blue champagne. It...More

Lunch was lovely and delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful -we got very lost trying to find it. The restaurant and surroundings are stunning and a wonderful way to spend a afternoon.

We were in Tuscany for a week and were so impressed with the food at the Villa Machiavelli, that we opted to eat there twice rather than try somewhere new. Every course was delicious and the staff so very friendly.

I will be travelling from Florence, is it possible to reach Albergaccio on public transport? I understand there is a bus from florence, however the Autostazione seems very far away. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated x

Dear Kate, do not worry, it is not to far. Around 35 minutes. By the way, you can take a taxi, it is more fast, but more expensive, about 35€ Thanks!

An attentive and careful restoration work has transformed the village into an elegant restaurant with great attention to detail. With Florentine hospitality and thanks to the kitchen chef driven directly by Libero and sons Lorenzo and Matteo, the Albergaccio today expresses the traditional Tuscan cuisine at its best. We cook food elegant yet rustic and sincere, that will delight your senses visual and culinary, a trip from classic flavors and traditional to innovative dishes prepared by chefs super qualified. Taking inspiration from traditional Tuscan recipes handed down for generations, all the dishes on the menu are meant for sharing. Using incredible Tuscan products, delicious dishes are created every day in the kitchen, paired with wines and ingredients so good that really speak for themselves.
