Apart from being a lovely little town, San Gusme also boasts a delicious Osteria. We stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the excellent service. Must try the pappardelle with wild boar and the crostini Nero.

The restaurant is nestled in the heart of the small village of San Gusmè, perfectly preserved and overlooking hills of breathtaking beauty, especially in the autumn. We had a starter of prosciutto, finocchiona and carpaccio, delicious. We then tasted the maremmani al tartufo, followed by a tagliata which was superb and cooked to perfection. The manager Mattia is professional and... More

We stayed in San Gusme for a week and it became our go to place for breakfast, dinner and late night fun. The owner and staff are amazing. They are all very proud of their little place and food is homemade. The best cured meats I have ever had, and amazing pecorino cheese. Excellent coffee. We went to all the... More

Had a family meal here, could not fault it, wonderful food and great staff, more than happy to help in any way. Pastas, meats and a host of local dishes, we tried a selection between us and enjoyed them all.

San Gusme is a wonderful small little village that is easily missed. We stopped there after a wine tasting at La lama. The Osteria serves typicall tuscan dishes. Rustic and good, perfect for lunch.

We happened to have a late lunch at this place. The barman was very friendly and accommodating. He told us the kitchen was closed, but he will see what he can do. We ended up having some cold cuts and Tuscan cheese, some nice Tuscan wine by the glass, and a dessert. The food was good and in abundance. We... More

Wonderful authentic Tuscan restaurant. The best beef carpaccio I've had anywhere and a wonderful veal chop. Veg were lovely and other starters and pasta good. San Gusme a charming hilltop village.

The food is excellent and it really offers Tuscan delicacies! In addition the borgo where it is located is just a jewel in the Chianti! Thumbs up!

What an amazing place! The boar, the mushroom pasta, the paté! Off to a rocky start, the waiter seemed to ignore us for a minute, but then a quick reversal of fortune and our every whim was met. Stefano was an outstanding host and made excellent recommendations. The wine choice for us was perfect. The pecorino was amazing. The little... More
