The location is nothing really especial but the food is good (simply but good) and the owners are really nice. I asked for a great plate of penne arrabiata and they made it great! Desserts also good.

Unless you enjoy being depress, avoid this place: the food is mediocre (to be kind), one of the waitress seemed sorry we were there and all this 'pleasure' doesn't come cheap.
Before our trip to Puglia, I had researched restaurants in Otranto and made an advance reservation via email with Balconcino d'Oriente. It was delicious with excellent local cuisine and wine! The antipasti was a highlight.
