Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Restaurant where you eat wonderfully in a very rustic and friendly decoration.
I highly recommend the house aperitif
There may be a bit of a wait due to the fact that the owner takes care of everything, so if you are not in a hurry go and eat at the Agapes farm

Excellent authentic wood-fired raclette. A very warm welcome from the owner, a very welcoming person. And what's more, the price is reasonable.
The only downside was that there was no more sparkling water. However, January is not a busy period. But that didn't spoil our evening.
Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

Good Raclette. I recommend the place. Local food with good twist and atmosphere. If you live in Les Houches you must visit in this restaurant.

A very welcoming restaurant with traditional dishes. We tried the fondue which was delicious and had ice cream for dessert. Very nice

Nestled in a row of four similar deck-oriented restaurants, La Ferme situates you with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc and Aiguille du Midi while you eat and drink at a nicely-glacial pace. We ordered the Grill-It-Yourself meat dish, and a chilled bottle of I can't-remember-what, selecting all beef for our three choices of meat because, well, I don't know, greed? They bring you a heavy burner with a nice array of sauces and you grill your way to a larger jean size. They would've sang me Happy Birthday after my fiancee secretly asked the staff to do so but, idiot low-calorie-seeking-despite-the-fries-already-eaten me, I refused a dessert at the last second and went back home song-less and older. Great restaurant, regardless!

We have visited this establishment on many occasions. My last review of the Ferme was following a change of ownership. I think that I gave a balanced review.
Tonight we met some people who are on holiday and we suggested the Ferme as a place to eat. The four of us entered an empty restaurant. We were seated in a corner as we had our dog Digby with us. As I said we have eaten here many times and had in mind that we would like the do it your self BBQ. 'No sorry cant have that.' After some to and frowing we decided upon tartiflitteflet. As my wife and I were not very hungry but wanted to show our new friends the the delights of Les Houches we ordered three meals between four.
The response was, 'YOU CANT DO THAT.' The management have said NO.
The young lady who was waiting on was clearly embarrassed.
I cant believe how short sighted the management were. We had pockets with money in them, we were prepared to spend it in this establishment. As it happens we left without spending a penny.
Make up your own mind if you visit the Ferme. As for us, i think it is the last time we cross the threshold. Such a shame after such a close friendship with the previous owners.

Since last year the ownership has changed, the menu is very basic, previously it was fantastic, the braserade very simple and also the fondue savoyarde, the service lacks, I will wait to go back for new ownership

Great Raclette! Enjoyed the tradition of how it is cooked and the huge amount of potatoes, salad and meats we got. Our kids had the linguine Bolognese and loved it. So it catered to all our tastes.

We had a raclette last night. We are healthy eaters but had to bring a large amount home with us. Looking forward to finishing it off tonight.

Great spot for Savoyard specialities! I can't imagine selecting any other food from the menu when the regional food is the highlight and what they do best. The raclette is first rate and brought to your table in the old fashioned way-- with a live charcoal burner, nothing electric about it. Several fondu specialities on offer also-- and all served with wonderful bread. The service is slow-- not enough wait staff on a busy night-- but the ambiance makes the waiting not so bad. Very reasonably priced.

We stumbled across this family friendly restaurant whilst looking for a place to eat in Les Houches. It was cold and snowing outside and the welcome was warm and inviting. We feared being turned away but were welcomed and a cosy table for four found.
The decor and environment is unpretentiously and confidently traditional.
Service throughout the meal was friendly and efficient. If you have children they will be welcomed with open arms.
On to the main event, the food was outstanding and excellent value for money. We had a mini bbq with steak and turkey served with potatoes, chunky chips, green salad and sauces.
Both adults and kids loved cooking our own meat and the portion sizes were generous.
Our favourite restaurant ever in a ski resort. We went twice on a four day break.
Congratulations to the restaurateur!!

Visited for lunch whilst skiing. Perfect location near the Bellevue ski lift. Great service, friendly staff, delicious and generous food. We had Croute and Tartiflette which were both very generous sizes with a huge fresh salad on the side. Excellent food and drink at a great price in a good location with friendly staff, what more could you need?! Must try!
