Nice welcome, nice setting. The menu includes, in addition to traditional Savoyard dishes, dishes of French cuisine more or less revisited. Well presented, tasty, hearty but a little expensive for this type of restaurant. However, wines are more affordable. A downside: To the order per child of a single scoop of ice cream, child who answered “yes” to the question “with a little Chantilly?”, this little Chantilly translated into 1-€ extra, which we were surprised to discover on the Final Rating. This pettiness somewhat spoiled our judgment of this restaurant.

Last rainy day of rainy vacation - late arrival at the resort. The couple of restaurateurs are kind enough to welcome us after 9:30 p.m. - already we greatly appreciate the effort - too rare. The restaurateur bent over backwards to make a mocktail to suit one of our boys and made a special plate for the little one (without herbs in particular ;)) and the rest of us, well, we enjoyed the fondue savoyarde - truly memorable and I can tell you that I have tasted tons of it! The place seemed to be a very invigorating landmark for walkers and I imagine that it is the same thing in winter for skiers. Small friendly chartreuse offered with a bit of conversation with the restaurateurs. This good time was a very good end to our vacation. Thank you to them and we wish you continued success.

New discovery at the top! A warm welcome and impeccable service. Dishes and desserts made with fresh and local products in order to satisfy each customer. A real treat for the taste buds! A very pleasant New Year's Eve in the company of Claude, his wife and his team and the evening of our departure. No hesitation, go ahead with your eyes closed. As far as we're concerned, we'll see them soon! 👍🥂🎉😘

Nothing ruins a trip to a restaurant as much as being ripped off. We all got the feeling that Claude didn't like English people. The escargot was as delicious as any restaurant in France. The beef stew was the most expensive small bowl of beef stew complete with tenderised gloppy fat that I can imagine at €24. The wine was good, but Claude didn't cook that. Claude then told us the next people were due in 10 minutes, even though they were closing a half hour later. It was noticeable that he gave his other French customers a shot of liqueur before presenting them with their bill. It was here that I realised he was an anglophobe. He merely presented us with our bill.....and added a 33.33% "cover charge". So we spent €195 and were charged €260. We would have given him a 10% tip but he screwed us good and proper. Let me explain that we are not a loud British family, we are quiet and our ages varied from 12-70. If I could give you a word of advice.... check your bill and don't be too polite to query it like me. Or don't go.

Restaurant Le Basilic

If you are looking for that little family run restaurant that serves classic French cuisine then try this place. The chef adds some fun twists which made it even more delightful and we all really enjoyed our evening as a family. Advise you phone and book as it is popular for good reason.

Passing for a night in Chamonix before the holidays, we were looking for a restaurant open on Sunday and where to eat local (Tartiflette, Diots and crozets, ...). Well, the Wolf Refuge is for that! We ate very well and the property owner is very open and friendly!

Excellent food, ambiance & service. The salmon smoked under the cloche, salade des refuge des loups, carré d’agneau & le burger were all really tasty . A good atmosphere in a busy restaurant. We will visit again

An exceptional place where one feels very quickly at ease. However, this simplicity does not prevent quality. A varied menu with only local products, very well prepared and presented. That's great! The bosses are very kind, kind, share their love of their region and their passion... they do everything possible to make us feel like home; Mission successful, a big thank you to you both and your cook! I recommend 1000%.

Came here for our valentines meal, the restaurant is small with a warm and cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed their local white wine which was infused with basil. We chose the set menu which was good value, though limited options. They also do some vegetarian options in the normal menu which is good to see.

The restaurant was very accommodating and offered very friendly service. We were a group of 10 and managed to get a table on a Saturday night there. They have a great wine list. We got a gorgeous bottle of red. I tried the white wine with basil flavour but it's too sweet for me. For main course I had a chicken supreme which was very well cooked. It's very well located. Right by the Bellevue lift.

Beautiful restaurant and ambience in French Alpine style. The menu offers a sufficient selection. We took the "recommendation of the day". The service is very pleasant and very friendly. If necessary, communication is also possible in English. The food was really delicious and worth the price. From the starter to the dessert, everything was perfect. If we are in the area again, we will definitely go there again. A clear recommendation from us.
