See above. Walked into this cafe today 27th December 2016 intending to have breakfast. However the lady at the counter couldn't even turn her head to greet us despite standing right in front of us. She was busy making coffees, and was slamming cups around and looking very sour. After being ignored and witnessing this for several minutes we walked... More

Walked in. 3 to 4 other people already there. Stood at counter and no staff member so much as lifted their head. No Acknowledgement that we were there at all. The female Barrister appeared angry and continued making coffees. We had time to read the menu through. Still no acknowledgement, so we left.

Visited this cafe at lunchtime. Had a date scone that was very dry. The coffee was only Luke warm and was not very nice. Don't think I would return in a hurry.

Love the food, they change their menu sometimes but would be good to see changes more often. They could do with better chairs, they are quite cold to sit on, not nice when its cold. Service is okay can be slow some of the staff seem to get flustered quite easy, but overall a nice place to eat.

Inkpot Cafe at Mitre 10 is right next to the garden section so a very pleasant outlook. And open every day. Paul and Hayley run a great cafe with friendly staff and consistently great coffee. Paul makes the best omelette in town, no question about it. Great menu and always fresh and interesting cabinet selection. My favourite pick-me-up is a... More

First visit today and thought we'd try somewhere new. Firstly the place as well decorated and nice and spacious. Also not too loud for the amount of people seated. Although not heaving still nice to be able to have a conversation without raising your voice. The food selection was good. There's plenty on the board and I like the open... More

You never quite know what to expect when you try eating at a cafe attached to a big mega hardware store. They can be appalling (for example, Mitre 10 at Paraparaumu) or great, like one I've been frequenting at the Mitre 10 in Stratford in Taranaki. Called the Ink Pot, this is a treasure of a place, attached to the... More
