This review is from a person who isn't really a Sri Lankan/Indian food lover. BUT, the Butter Chicken was to die for. That alone is reason enough for me to go again, on top of this, the service was excellent. I can't handle any heat...in my food, pepper is often to hot for me. I know, I know, I have a cretin's palate when it comes to hot foods. I asked and stressed that I wanted it to be a very, very mild Butter Chicken and that's what I got. Sensational! Sorry, no photos, I got stuck into my dish straight away. My dinning partner enjoyed her Lamb Rogan Josh along with a Flying Brick Original Cider, not many places serve this. The Naan was good and the steamed rice, well, it was steamed rice cooked well. While the dish prices are around $30 to $35, it's well worth it for a traditional feast. As they say in Sinhala, "rasavat" or in Tamil, "Cuvaiyāṉatu"... deeeeelicious. Do yourself a favour.More

Highly patronised by those looking for curry and Sri Lankan/Indian food, the restaurant was full the Monday night we visited with prior reservation. On Sunday and Monday nights there's a special on Sri Lankan hoppers. We were a group of 8 and we selected the...unlimited hopper banquet with three curries (chicken, beef and fish) with the other standard accompaniments for hoppers. Had our fill and enough food to take home too. Excellent service.More

Restaurant management needs to take a good look at themselves. Food was below average in flavour and over priced. US pop music was too loud and stymied conversation. Take away food buyers expressing loud annoyance at delays. An unedifying experience.

The food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make us all feel comfortable. My father is in a wheelchair and they made sure that he could sit in an area that was comfortable and supportive. They made his birthday lunch...very special and memorable.More

The food was super spicy so we weren’t able to enjoy it as much as we would have if the spice level was slightly lower.. we are used to hot spices but this was just too much. We had dinner for Mother’s Day so I...guess it was noisier than usual but we were not able to conversate with each other as we couldn’t hear each other without having to shout.. service was goodMore

Had dinner with my team on two occasions over the last two weeks at this wonderful restaurant where the staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. Our waitress on both occasions was the lovely Nisalee, who provided thoughtful and considerate advice on menu...choices including some cultural information about the meals and their origins. The atmosphere in the restaurant is open and welcoming, with both inside seating and street side tables. The food is not overly spicy, which suits my palate, but of course, you can up the ante if you like it extra hot! You’ll need to book to be sure of a table in the early evening, as it is very popular.More

The known place for tasty food with SriLankan cuisine and others as well. Kothu Roti and Hopper Strings are good to try with little spicy curry.

Excellent service, good selection of vegan options on the menu and a delicious fish curry that my husband eats every time we go. It’s so good we’ve booked valentine dinner here. Friendly staff. Good service. BYO though you can buy alcohol here too. Cocktails and...Mocktail selection. Dine inside or outside. They do get busy so recommend booking before you go.More

Service at Elephant Corridor was efficient and courteous from the moment our group arrived. The first thing you notice is that the decor is tasteful and muted, and that almost every table is occupied. The restaurant is quite small, but a full length mirror on...one wall creates an illusion of space. The menu reveals an assortment of Sri Lankan and Indian delicacies including dishes not regularly found elsewhere. As one would expect, there are many vegetarian options. The drinks menu has an adequate selection of wines and a more impressive selection of beers; European, Japanese and of course Sri Lankan and Indian. It was pleasing to see an offering from local craft brewery, Two Rupees. The meals were uniformly delicious. Highly recommended.More

I didn’t get the 4 star in my visit. Food was plain, not saying it’s bad but definitely I can’t sense any highlight for a fancy looking restaurant. Service was what really put you down. 1st of all it took a while before they even...attend for order, so I have to call for attention. (It wasn’t busy at all for a early Monday night). What was worse is they brought the food in totally wrong order: main —> entree —> drink while I was half done… I won’t recommend. For the same $$ there are abundant options that Glen Waverley could offer.More
