We had learned about this little gem having shared a table with the owner, Geoff, at a bakery/cafe in Kirkby Lonsdale on our way to Cumbria and said that we would call in on our way back home and we are so glad we did. This is a delightful little cafe which is attached to the local store. It has... More

This was a gem. We were taking the longest most picturesque trip from Yarm down to Manchester for our flight home. How we ended up here I have no idea and would probably struggle to find this place again. But what a find it is. Was slightly put off walking into such a crowded store but then when I realised... Stopped here on our way back from Yorkshire to Cumbria. We have passed many times and have always wanted to stop here which we did at long last - & are we glad we did! We received a warm welcome and were delighted with the vintage décor and homely surroundings. The tearooms are full of lovely, vintage items - a... More

Called here bank holiday Monday mid walk. Really lovely we sat outside and had toasted tea cakes and coffee. The tea cakes were delicious as were the coffees. Lovely cups and saucers with cute milk jug and spoons and lovely plates. The latte came with a sugar stick and the filter coffee with a little short bread heart. Also the... More

Very pleasant place to stop , like an old fashioned tea room. Very handy for stopping off the A65. Food nothing original or special but was tasty enough . Lots of interesting items in the cafe , ( old postcards , pictures , sweets etc ) . There is a village shop / post office attached .

We just wanted a cup of tea, as it was a lovely sunny day! Seen the signs along the road, and thought we would stop! Entrance was through the little shop, which I think must of sold everything! Tea shop was very lovely, loads of character, lovely cup of tea and cake....very friendly staff X would defo call in again

We stopped here when we usually stop in Kirkby Lonsdale and what a delight. Having said for years we would try it last weekend we finally did. Ample parking to the rear in the village hall car park. Tacked onto the village shop are the tea rooms which give an impression of being in someones living room, the menu is... More

Sandwiches were fresh and not short on filling. But omg those cakes certainly fill you, not skinny with the cake !! The girls that looked after us were really nice. Happy and friendly tea rooms that are a yes visit when your in the area.

We stopped at the Cowan bridge tea rooms after seeing the sign on the side of the road. The tea rooms were so well decorated you literally felt as though you had stepped back in time. We had a sandwich and a jacket potato and both were gorgeous and arrived really quickly. Or lunch was really cheap as well, will... More
