The food was excellent and they catered for my wife's needs without a problem. The pub tends to concetrate on food so it is of a particular good quality. The waitresses were very attentive and helpful.

Had a superb meal (as always) last night; friendly staff (as always)... food was excellent and we queried the bill because it didn't seem anywhere near expensive enough for three huge meals and drinks! Atmosphere is lovely, busy without being overcrowded and one of the staff even complimented me on my shoes (which is a bonus).

First visit, in fact going back at the end of the week. The food is of excellent quality, fresh and hot. Mains for us were a Lamb Henry and a Fish Pie. Both on the specials for under £12. Lovely food! Service was quick and efficient and staff very pleasant and helpful. Lovely old pub in a lovely village. Highly... More

Went here for a birthday meal, six adult and two young children. We booked in advance which was a good move as it was a busy Sunday afternoon. The service was very friendly, efficient and the staff very helpful. We had a variety of meals which were all excellent and good value for money. All in all a very good... More

Stopped here for lunch mid walk and didn't regret it. A good selection of beers of which Guzzler hit the spot. The giant Yorkshire Pudding with Roast Beef and lashings of gravy was tempting but in the end plumped for Aberdeen Angus burger chips and onion rings. Marvellous. Well recommended.

We came here during our weekend break as a result of its rank here on Trip advisor. The food was great. We started with camembert to share which was amazing with the fresh bread and chutney. For main my girlfriend had the Aberdeen angus burger which was huge and I had fish and chips. We both struggled to finish our... More
