I had no chance to try this restaurant, since it always turns down bookings. The staff is actually very rude, almost having fun when saying they are fully booked. In my opinion this is unacceptable for professionists, and the quality of food and service cannot justify such a behaviour.

We enjoyed one of the best steaks of our trip and fantastic pasta. Strongly recommend but it can get crowded so go early.

My wife had an excellent dinner at Il Grilllo. The waiter / manager was very friendly. We had the grilled peppers as an appetizer, and shared the Veal with Porcini mushrooms and the Spinach and ricotta tortellini with Ragu sauce. All Excellent. For desert we had the lemon tiramisu which was also very good. The house wine was Ok, nothing... More

When you get to Pitigliano, you are blown away by the town. When we walked into Trattoria we felt right at home. The son was fantastic and Mama was a delight. We had a wonderful meal with a beautiful antipasta and then Penne with tomato sauce ( I asked for hot pepper and Mama knew just what I needed )... More

We've had the most wonderful lunch in this place. Everything was just perfect, the food home cooked delicious, service impeccable and when the bill came we couldn't believe how reasonable it was!

And we are so glad they were still open -- we had a WONDERFUL meal. We started with antipasti of breads with different spreads, jams, meats, and cheese. Everything tasted so good... My pasta was tortelli stuffed with spinach and ricotta and my mom had gnocchi in a wild boar sauce. Again, delicious and delicious... Service was also good. A... More

As with most eating places in southern Tuscany, Il Grillo (the Grasshopper, if you didn't know..) is a family run affair. The welcome is warm and the interior is simple and homey. Also as with most destination towns in Tuscany there are many restaurants with english menus waiting to take your money. Il Grillo is just the opposite. A real... More

A little restaurant in Pitigliano. Food is good and the personnel is very kind. Dishes are inspired by local tradition

first half of the stay was ok. Eventhough it made us feel that this restaurant is not allowed to even walk-in if you don't have a reservation (since we entered just after the opening and employees were still eating...this is already bit odd...anyways some servers rejected for letting us in without reservation), we could sit and start enjoying the Food....
